For an institution like Morgan Stanley to have a tool like this that has importance for many Fortune 500 companies and leave it to decay is very disappointing. Doesn’t fit the screen properly on any modern iPhone, no FaceID and looks like an app from ten years ago (because it probably is). Morgan Stanley - spend a week and a few dollars making this work properly - it sends a very poor message about your investment in your customers and your technology.
App lacks Touch ID and Face ID when this is considered a norm for banking apps now. The visualization and breakdown of your transactions and fees are awful. If you are a corporate user and choosing between this and Schwab, go with Schwab purely based off of user experience. Pretty sure this app UX was designed for iPhone 5 and sizing etc has not been updated since. Also app doesn’t properly handle sales of fractional shares. If you sell 3.5 shares for $100ea, your gross proceeds from the sale will show you the total for the sale of 4 shares ($400). Your net proceeds will be correct on the desktop website ($350), but there is no breakdown or explanation of the issues or differences. I am moving my corporate account after this.
I tried both the classic and new version of this app and can’t sign in to my account. I can sign in fine on the web...
I was only able to sign in successfully once. After that, the app doesn’t allow you to sign in with Touch ID or via manual sign in. It prompts to use 2FA with you phone number but then can’t populate your phone number in the list. Functional useless
Never get the text containing the code for 2FA. Ended getting locked out of my account that I was already authenticated with on my browser. Terrible experience.
Looks like this app was made in 2010 and hasn’t changed 1 bit. Role the the ages Morgan Stanley. What’s goin on. Sheesh.
Morgan Stanley should be ashamed of itself If a multi billion dollar company makes such a terrible app it’s inexcusable
Horrible ui. Terrible ux.
