Annoying app

Stop updating the software. The last one caused me to have to sign back into all of my music services. And not supporting airplay is annoying. Bose does it perfectly.

Best of times, worst of times

Mostly best. Wonderful when it works. Love walking from room to room and hearing the same song. Getting easier and easier to play various music services. Still hard to play podcasts. And eternally frustrating when one room drops out for no clear reason.
Better - not perfect

The latest simplification to the "play now" interface is excellent. It is much easier to simply click play on a song, album or playlist and have it start. The queue is still there and can be used to build playlists as long as you remember that clicking the play all or shuffle all buttons erases the current queue and replaces it with the new songs. This may take some time for some to get used to but I greatly prefer it to the old "queue first" system.

Pros: - It conveys music from my phone to the SONOS speaker. Cons: - Far too many taps to do simple things (like play a song or find a song). - User experience overall is overly complex and sometimes baffling. - Doesn't always work with Apple Music. Sometimes it tells you that you aren't signed in, when in fact you are. So no music for you. - Because this app is necessary, you can't play music or audio from Safari or any of your other apps.. Period. So you better hope that they have some sort of deal with the audio service you use, because if not: no audio for you. - Speaker doesn't use AirPlay This app is a completely unnecessary complexity of experience when AirPlay would have been the perfect, simple solution. Seems like a marketing department idea gone very off the rails.

Sonos hardware is amazing, but the app is simply horrible across the board. I have the WORST time playing the music from my phone. Please, for the love of all things music, get it together. New services are emerging and you will lose a customer if things do not improve.

The only Bluetooth speaker you can't just play your already downloaded music through. Enjoy a clunky, annoying app that really serves no purpose at all.
Sept. 7 update may have bugs

Simple. I downloaded this update for my iPad and now it will not connect to the Sonos system. I did not update my iPhone and I can still connect using it.
