Terrible tech and unreliable

The tech in this credit union is so far out of date and behind every other bank on the west coast that I can no longer recommend to anyone that they join the credit union over say .... Chase. Worst: lock outs. Forgetting my information. No credit card data (SO INFURIATING that I cannot do ANYTHING with my credit card account I’m SMCU’s site or app. - you are always referred to some other site - some other company handles the credit cards..... very lame) As others have mentioned - no credit Card transactions Avoid this app. Avoid San Mateo Credit Union - a member for almost 20 years

You can’t rely on this app because more than often will it tell you that either the server is busy or that there is an error and come back later I go back days later and still same problem! Really irritating when you need the app you can’t use it! Plus before I would be able to do a mobile deposit right away and get my money now it takes them 3-5 business days to get it approved ? And I don’t even get my whole check in I get only portion of what it should be! Highly disappointed

We need to add a credit card “activities” interacting. I would like to be able to View my history on the app! This would make it a five star app!

This app is basic, at best. Has so many login problems, as so many previous reviews have also said. And now with the newest update, fingerprint ID is gone. This makes all the login/username/password issues all the worse.

Guys, please, figure it out. It’s not rocket science, seriously. I could learn to program and create an app better than this, and by the time I do you STILL wouldn’t have fixed the problems that this app has had FOREVER. 1) let us use the flash when taking photos of checks, and 2) DONT LOCK ME OUT IF I GET THE PASSWORD WRONG! This is the ONLY app I have ever used that treats you like a first class bonafide criminal if you get your password wrong. Pretty sure I have to supply a vial of my dead father’s blood to prove I am who I say I am. Treat us like freaking adults and figure out how real applications work: don’t lock me out if I get my password wrong. I called and they said delete and reinstall the app. Nope didn’t work. I read other reviews and they’re saying the same thing - IT DOESNT WORK! FIX YOUR APP!!!!

I use my app all the time to check my balances and you know transfer over to savings or to my credit card. I never have issues with it, unless the app is down. One thing I dislike it your not able to your history for your credit card on the app you actually have to go to their website to check all that.

Does everything I need but occasionally it will block me and tell me I need to re log-in for some reason and I don’t know why. It’s in the middle of a transaction and I will have to start everything over. It’s a pain every time this happens. Other than that the site works great.
No VISA link

I really like the app, use it a lot and does about 90% of what I need. However, what I can’t do is access my VISA account through it. I can see the current outstanding balance, and that’s it. There is NO link to the VISA provider. I realize that is not a direct service of the CU, the account management is a 3rd party site. However, there should at LEAST have a link that could take me to that website, even if that means opening it through a browser! So, I have to go to directly a computer to check that info, because if you sign on to SMCU website through a browser on your phone, it opens in mobile mode... which doesn’t allow you to get to the VISA server...UGH!!! Drives me CRAZY!!
