Good app

This app is pretty good, turns lights on/off. If u have a smart dimmer u can turn the brightness up/down. U can set schedules, groups, and scenes. The scheduling is a little clumsy but overall it does the job.

The app will not work properly just like the switch I bought at lowes. The app says the switch is defective and needs replacement. Should have bought the lutron instead

Very important if having issues, or thinking about buying legrand smart products

Long post, but worth it if you are having issues, or reading the reviews thinking about getting legrand. Yeah I got the smart dimmer that works over Wi-Fi, and like others I had an issue or two. Also my problems involved the switch itself. After scrolling thru the reviews here to see if others had any of my problems I saw where a guy named Scott who works for legrand was responding to people. He posted his number multiple times so I figured I’d give him a call. I got to say he was the best. He recognized my problems immediately and had not only the app working for me but also the issue I was having with the switch itself. I understand the frustration some might have if theirs isn’t working 100% out the box. I can tell you Scott and legrand honestly make it very easy to tackle any of the issues you might have. Even though he’s working from home due to the corana virus he took the time to walk me thru the few steps I needed, and everything working great probably within 5-10 minutes. I also know they are working on releasing an updated app that can resolve some of the issues people are having. So if you speak with him and the issue isn’t resolved I feel confident they will work on it to make an update. Sometimes we need to sit back and remember things aren’t 100% from the start. Although the app and the switch are doing great, some issues arise with the way the switch communicates with the router you have(like mine). If you talk to them they will likely have you running immediately. If not I feel confident they will work to resolve it in some fashion. At the end of the day I like having a superior product that has an amazing group working for them that is there if needed.

Great customer support!

After installing my Legrand Smart Switch to run a ceiling fan, I had trouble getting it connected to my home network. I contacted Customer Support, which had to escalate the issue to their second level support group. I was immediately put in touch with Scott who quickly identify to problem as being an issue with my AT&T router. He explained to me that they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution. He took my contact info and told me he would get back to me once the new version of the Legrand app was out in Beta. Sure enough, I got a text message today from Scott who then called me on the phone and walked me through the entire set up. Switch works like a charm now with my Echo Dot. Extremely pleased with the overall level of support for Legrand. I can think of an awful lot of companies that could learn from these folks the right way to treat their customers. Thanks to Legrand, and especially to Scott!

Innovative and responsive.

Bought the 3way smart in wall switch from Legrand for the sole purpose of automating my garage lights. If you are like me, you either forget to turn them on or forget to turn them off. Initially the switch worked well until my router updated its firmware. After contacting Legrand support, it was determined the switch would not board because the router would not pass the commands through. A borrowed router in the meantime allowed it to function again. Legrand was working on a software update to address the issue. Today I installed it and was able to move it back to my normal router. Legrand delivered on their promise. Thank you Scott @ Legrand for all your help.

Horrible

Latest update rendered the on/off programming inoperable. These people need competent programmers. Must remove the switch, scan a stinking QR code and reinstall to get it working.

Updated Review - Great Customer Support

Updated Review: Had trouble with installation and getting the smart switch to work at first (see my review from 3/19). I received great customer support from Scott Blunt via a phone call and he has since followed up via email to ensure all is operating as expected. All has been working at this time without issue. If something comes up again, I will have no hesitation to reach back out to Scott.

App doesn’t always work.

wavefun

I just installed a Legrand wall switch. It works mechanically. The app turns the switch on and off but it never provides an indication that it is on. When turned on the icon in the app switches momentarily to white and then back to black even though the switch is still on. I tried the Alexa skill and it will turn the switch on. But it would will not turn off with an off command. But it will turn off if I issue a second On command. And the indicator in the Alexa app always shows that it’s on. I have several other Tplink switches that work fine. This one is going back.

Network issue

It doesn’t connect on a1 2 and 3 steps. Why do we need to spend 4 $40 plus and on top of it waste our time that no one will reimbursed to serve a lab rats to try a product that should work as directed. This is unacceptable.
