Used to be good, not anymore

No longer tracks Amazon orders and support seems surprised by this. No more price drops or it does not seem to work. I almost missed one that I just happened to catch myself. It looks like this app was bought out by Rakuten and it has changed, not for the better.

Update 2/16/18: so I've been experiencing a couple issues with slice and this app honestly seems to get worse every time I think of using it. First, I had a few orders that were pinned. When I no longer needed them pinned, I tried to remove pin on several occasions and they still aren't removed 'til this day. I sent a supporter ticket and that was 8 days ago. Now there's an issue where the app is crashing upon start up - and yes I've tried what they always ask: reinstall app, restart your phone. Log in/out. Clear cache, yadda yadda yadda. The issues remain. I just deleted it and now using my notes app to keep track. Yes, it's a tiny bit more work fishing for the tracking number instead of an app magically doing it for me, but it's worth not getting headaches over it. Deleted! I've had Slice for several years. It's had its ups and downs throughout the years, but has definitely improved. Now they have support for Amazon packages and the complexity of their shipping and tracking. I order a crapload from Amazon, eBay, and other smaller merchants. But with Amazon now not including tracking numbers in their e-mail, I understand their need for including the log-in for Amazon to access that information. Thing is, it has been awhile since, and Slice can't seem to get it right. Amazon divides even small orders of 2 items into two shipments (probably because they are located in different parts of the country). Fine. But Slice can never get the tracking numbers to match the item and I'm left tracing just one or the other item, and never both. I understand it's not a simple task. But it also shouldn't be hard to recognize that an order has been divided into several packages. Other than this, the app occasionally crashes and then goes on a rampage of not wanting to stay open. I'd have to uninstall and reinstall the app a few times before it gives in. When I enter a tracking number with order number and info manually and save, Slice does not acknowledge the order or shipment and I have to try again a few times. This is frustrating since I typed in all order info including tax, shipping and even searched for an image for the item. Update: 12/7/17 this app seems to be getting worse. Many bugs on the app which include app crashing after saving tracking info, orders disappearing after you save their info, shipments disappearing if you delete a specific item in the order, adding a tracking number only without order info causes app to crash. So many small things that go unnoticed. Notice: I had a good review at 4 stars earlier in my initial use of this app. I also had my husband use this app but he has since stopped because of the exorbitant amount of bugs and daily errors he received. As do I. I really don't want to uninstall, but unfortunately I have no choice. This is something that shouldn't be adding any stress to all the online orders I have but seems to only cause more stress when my orders disappear. Also for my husband - he says amazon orders - although you give slice your login credentials - still don't grab tracking info. I know they don't show up on the emails anymore so what is the purpose of asking for login credentials for Amazon if you can't even grab the tracking from their website?! That's why he deleted the app. I will be following suit soon!

Love it!!!

Never miss another delivery seriously so accurate it’s not funny, I shop online constantly and I always worry about my orders arriving when I am not home, This app really helps.

Good and useful app, but....

2/19/18 Update: app allows pinning of orders to the top but when trying to remove the pin, nothing happens and pin remains. Also still have the crashing on opening so I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. 1/2/18 Update: app crashes right after opening. 10/17 Update: I just ran the update and now upon opening, the app crashes while trying to refresh. It’s also not picking up some orders and some shipments. Not sure if that’s an issue between GMail and Slice. Would also like to have a list view and the ability to alphabetize Orders by merchant. Since I order products online quite a bit, having everything in one place makes it easier to keep track of orders and deliveries. A couple of suggestions: A. Add a category for Arts and Crafts purchase types B. Better integration with orders powered by Shopify. Sometimes I have to manually add shipping information. C. Expand the photo search or allow upload of a product picture. D. Use actual shop names from Etsy orders.

Face ID no longer works and not receiving all shipment notifications/updates.

Constant bugs and instability

Notifications don’t work. I’ve used this app on and off for a couple years and the status hasn’t changed. Just doesn’t function well.

One of my Favorite and most used apps

This is a great app that helps me manage my time by tracking g deliveries. It is quick and easy to set up and easy to make adjustments if necessary
