Stopped Working

No longer tracking packages or scanning email correct. It also won't let me unlink email boxes or update passwords since authentication is being read by Google. App has been constantly going downhill

More than just a tracking app

Slice App Review: This app can track your packages, but with a little effort, you can create a record of your purchases and spending habits. Plus, you have the option of adding a photo of what you bought, but only from their search of internet images. Sometimes you have to tweak the search phrase to find the right image, and sometimes it just can’t find the right image. It would be nice if they could give you the option of using a saved image from your camera roll. If all you want to do is track packages, there are other apps that only require the tracking number, but you have to wait until you get that number, which means you have to carefully watch your email and/or remember that you made a purchase days after the fact. This app allows you to enter your purchase info immediately and add tracking info later. This is advantageous especially around the holidays if you’re making a ton of online purchases and don’t want to forget what you bought. Plus, by adding the order number, you have an easy place to find that number if later you need it to search the vendor’s website for your order or return info. Slice’s original aim was to scan your emails for you and auto fill any purchase/tracking info, but I found this feature to be of little use. First, because of the limited domains it supports (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc. and it never supported my ISP), and second, because retailers (especially Amazon) have moved away from providing tracking info in your emails, which can be easily hacked by package thieves to know when to come by your house to steal a package, and require you to log into your account to get that info now. So this app will require some data entry on your part regardless, but you can decide how much or how little beyond the required fields. Of course, there is always the danger of 3rd parties seeing your shopping and spending habits, which the one thing that would make this app better is the ability to download your data to keep privately and give you the option of deleting all or part of your data once downloaded. You can delete individual entries now, but then you lose the aggregate data needed to create the visual representations of that data. So if keeping a record of your purchases/spending and/or seeing how/where you spent that money is not of interest to you, then you probably don’t need this app. But it’s the only app out there that will give you that level of detail.

Love my Slice!

Slice is one of my favorite apps! I order online all the time and it makes life much easier knowing when my packages have shipped, are out for delivery, and when received...moments after they’ve arrived. If only we could get Slice to run the airlines!

Used to be great

I don't know what has changed with this app but it's become nearly useless. It no longer really tracks my Amazon orders. It says ’error with status’ and makes me go to AMAZON to track my order. Likewise, about 90% of orders from other merchants don't track properly. I'm about to delete it and try another app.

Awful update!

5/19/2018: App shows item in Florida; USPS shows it in Pennsylvania. 3/15/2018: App will not let me show an item as delivered nor will it delete item. It will also not let me add a new FedEx shipment, although it accepts the tracking number and identifies it as FedEx. This has to be the most incompetent app I have on my iPad. Just silly bad. 1/28/2018: Slice now shows item in Silver Spring, MD, whereas USPS puts it in Baltimore. But that's only 50 miles away, which is not bad for this app! 1/27/2018: Slice map shows item in Florida, USPS shows it in Detroit. I give up. 12/13/2017: Slice map shows item in upstate New York--somewhere in the Adirondacks--USPS shows it at NYC Metro Distribution Center. 12/4/2017: Slice map shows item in Richmond, VA; UPS site shows it in Hagerstown, MD. 11/20/2017: Slice map shows new package in Columbus, Ohio; FedEx site shows it in Halethorpe, Maryland. Good work, Slice! 11/16/2017: Slice map shows package in Ellenwood, Georgia. FedEx app shows the same. Got it right this time. Hooray! Update 11/13/2017: Still does not show package location correctly. Today the Slice map shows package in Odenton, Maryland whereas the UPS site itself shows the item in Hagerstown, about 75 miles away. Takes forever to load new info on shipped purchases. Does not show locations reliably. Misses items shipped, so that you must load the data in manually. Does not picture any of the items in my most recent purchase history but just shows a generic non-picture. I have nothing good to say about this latest update. Update August 19: Twice now the map feature has shown a USPS package in Florida when the USPS site itself reported it was in Denver in one case, and in another case somewhere else, but not in Florida. What is this obsession with Florida? August 22 update: This update now shows package at my post office but does not show my location, as it formerly did. The USPS site itself shows the package as in transit, not at my post office. These locations are largely just fictional. Today, August 24, the app shows my location as in Connecticut (I am in Maryland), and the package still at my local post office, whereas according to USPS it has not arrived. August 25: App correctly shows item out for delivery. Incorrectly shows me living in Connecticut. Sort of a disaster. Once upon a time this app was accurate and reliable. No more.

Not bad but.....

Well like I said I’ve had this app for a few yrs and When I 1st download it was second to none! Now after the many updates it’s received that’s not so much the case, There are times I have to manually upload the tracking for items I’ve purchased and the estimated times are way off. Just yesterday I received a statement that package would arrive today. Well that package never showed and now it says a “one day away” I’m all for improving but this seems to go backwards when you try to “ update” all in all not bad. Let’s see what the next update brings.

App not working.

I really liked this app a lot and used it on a daily basis. But I recently got the iPhone X and now the app will not work. It prompts me to use Face ID and the app crashes. Please fix this so that I can continue to use this app.

App crashed while loading

I’ll take down once it is fixed. I don't know any other way to contact your support for now. Thanks alot.

Needs fixing

For some reason I will get a message that my order has been shipped through Slice but when I tap on the message and it brings me to the app, nothing is there. This used to not happen. Sounds like a big. Once fixed, I will change the rating.
