I’ve left several reviews, but as an American living in Italy with lots of family in the United States, paying just over $30 a year I can make unlimited phone calls to any phone number, landline, cell phone, or even toll-free number using Skype. I know there are other free services but most won’t let you call land lines or toll-free numbers. Having that subscription I also pay another $30 a year for a San Francisco phone number than anyone can call in the United States that reaches me here in Italy on my Italian cell. It’s also great because that’s the number that shows up as caller ID when I make calls. Highly recommended. My only complaint every now and then is there have been several times where the app would not allow Force Touch to bring up the dial pad, but running the latest Apple iOS 14.1 it does do that, which makes dialing fast and easy.

Hi sooo I love Skype and I’ve used it for a while and I just got used to this app and love this so much and would call my friends and family and I had to rate this app

My bf and I are more of a longer distance, and use Skype to call often since he currently doesn’t have a phone right now. It’s easy to use and really great However there’s always audio issues. The audio cuts out and becomes distorted all the time. He said my camera freezes and be glitches frequently. Some days it works well for a few hours then starts having issues. I still like the app since I can’t get zoom on my browser.
Won’t record sound in videos

I have a big problem with Skype when I try to use the Send a video function it never records any of my sound so I have to use the video function on my iPhone rather than just use the app It’s a big flaw

I never write reviews but can’t help wondering why Skype is still so buggy after many years. It’s slow, it can’t deal with a simple paste of a number, or rotation of the screen... feels like an app that’s largely forgotten by the powers that be at Microsoft.
Text notifications delayed for long periods of time

I’ve had this app for about 4 years. It was working perfectly fine and sending notifications and phone calls whenever they occurred. But as of recently, notifications such as texts are delayed several hours or even days. This bug or problem needs to be fixed immediately. I am tired of getting notifications 4 days later from when the actual text was sent. Please fix this problem , everything else with the app is great. I love the emojis.

The company has deactivated my Skype funds after 180 days and now bugging out on reactivating. What is even the point of that policy? Their support chat option does not work and just takes you to their FAQ. Once this was a good option, now there are better alternatives. Do not use
