Trapped overseas by Covid with a 12 hour time difference and a local curfew. To call home during US business hours I needed to break curfew and walk dark, deserted streets late at night to get to an overseas phone booth. I had forgotten I had Skype. Have been using it flawlessly now for months. Thank you.

I am so glad that Skype has this feature so that you can call anywhere in the world through the internet at an affordable rate! It has made it easy to call the UK & USA from Japan. I have had a few times were I had a bad connection but I just hang up, call back and that usually solves the problem. I recommend the calls over Skype feature!

I’ve been using Skype for many many years. Way before what’s app and other similar apps and my experience has been absolutely great. Skype helped me cope with leaving my family and living thousands of miles away. I talk to them and see them every single day through Skype. Even though there are many other apps out there providing the same services as Skype, personally my favorite and go to app will always be Skype. Thank you Skype team!

I love Skype. It helps me text friends that don’t have phones, but the only reason I have it is because zoom isn’t working for me. Otherwise I would have stuck with zoom all the way. But other than that Skype is great.

Voice Notes with AirPods (please fix)

We are not able to use AirPods when using the voice recording feature. Please fix this, I have reported multiple times.

Awesome video chat with friend from Germany

A friend of mine relocated to Germany a few years ago and we do not get to talk like we used to, at least partly due to the time difference. Well I am here at a hospital while my wife is being looked at so I used this opportunity to chat with my friend...for almost two hours using the hospital’s wifi. There were no breaks at all in either the sound or the video.

MyMother is in a nursing home without any personal contact. She’s locked in a room because the COVID-19 virus. I Set up computer in her room with nurses. Used automatic answer as she is 82 years old and does not know how to use a computer. The Computer automatically answer the phone , Skype and allows us to send pictures and communicate with her on a daily basis. She gets to see grandchildren great-grandchildren, videos sent through Skype directly to Computer. Without this program my mother would be in a deep depression, Secluded away from her family with no contact or visual communication. This program virtually saved her life many ways. Thank you Skype for what you do. You help people more than you think you do. Michael

As others have said, Skype is useful but inconsistent. It frequently takes me several tries to connect, and it cuts out during conversations sometimes. It is very frustrating, so there are times I just have to give up and make a phone call. Skype has been around a long time, so I don’t really understand why there are still so many bugs. In addition, I find the app rather user unfriendly in the way it is organized. There is great room for improvement in my opinion.
