I have been using Skype for at least 10 years and LOVE it! I really do not like talking to people with the video going, so I leave that off. When I speak to my friends in Europe we have an excellent connection with little or no static or break in our conversation. When using Skype, it is important to realize that you cannot talk at the same time as someone else. They will not be able to hear you. That is true with most Internet conversations no matter what type you are using. I am very grateful to Skype which has been there for me for years. Thank You!

Amazing life changing app!

My dad moved to Arizona, and he has an Android, I couldn’t talk to him because I have an iPhone. My therapist recommended this app to me. So I went home and downloaded it. It helped so much! I love this app, you can talk to anyone, with any type of phone! If you are looking for an app to text people, I would definitely recommend this app to you! But I wish you could add emojis to people’s contacts! But overall, AMAZING app! Here are the things you can do: Text, Change the contact name, FaceTime, Add people to the FaceTime, Make group chats, and a lot more! I hope everyone enjoys this app as much as I do! I’m in the military, and my girlfriend (soon to be wife) and I are dealing with this whole long distance thing. We tried Discord for video chat before, but her audio would always cut out. We switched over to Skype today, and it was absolutely perfect. Video quality stayed good the whole time (we talked for several hours straight), her audio never cut out, and even her usual difficulty of hearing was remedied with the subtitles option. Truly this app was just what I needed, and I just want to say thank you to the developers for keeping me in touch with my Lúthien.

I’m a specialist in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics that provides telemedicine consultations all over the world. I always give patients’ families several options for video calls; Skype, IMO, Messenger, WhatsApp, Hangouts or Zoom. Skype is rock-solid reliable and consistently provides high quality video as long as both ends have strong Internet. The only way it could be improved would be to have a feature like Zoom’s “Share your desktop”. However, my Skype is completely FREE, while Zoom is not.

I have been a fan of this app for communication for a long time. However, I can admit it gets really annoying whenever friends are too loud, and there is no way to make them quieter. Alongside that, it is a little rage inducing whenever you get spammed calls from people you have never met online. I changed my name to something for a joke, and then all of a sudden, I’m getting called in the middle of classes by complete strangers. I’d say fix security, but I can’t even redeem my account due to me not knowing what a Xbox Live ID is, and when I go to search about it, the entire verification is wiped. I have attempted to redeem my old account 7 times, but if one tiny little thing isn’t placed correctly, I’ll be forced to start from the very beginning. How was I supposed to remember the stuff I put in for my account 6 years ago? I’d file a complaint via email, but it appears your entire team is made of bootleg robots. Now when you think of it, how are automated robots supposed to help you get your account back whenever you’re having to prove you aren’t a robot yourself? I have attempted to brush off the fact that every other second, the connection goes down even when everyone has perfect WiFi. Trying to play games on a mobile device become harder whenever you accidentally cover the camera and everything goes black. The amount of times me and my friends have not been able to hear one another or understand what we are saying has become unnumbered. When it comes to a more secure service to use while trying to game or communicate, I recommend Discord. Not only do you get the kind opportunity to not spam everyone with calls, but you can have a better form of communication. Not saying it too isn’t capable of the occasional glitchy robot voices, but it feels a lot safer to use. Especially whenever noting that it is easier to not get spammed by possible sex predators while trying to sleep. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.
