No SMS with a Skype number

Why a Skype numbers don’t have SMS is beyond me. There are several other services that do so not having it is a MASSIVE downgrade.

Pros: good call quality Cons: It’s absolutely, completely, utterly confusing!!! I used to love Skype. It WAS so easy to use. Then Microsoft took it over and made it so complicated. It is my back up, back up in case I can’t make a call to anything else. I won’t use it unless I have no other choice.

Skype drops calls constantly. It’s interface has been outdated and malfunctional for the past 5 years and there have been virtually no updated for a tech product owned by a tech company. Every competitor is better. I used Skype 4 years ago very regularly bc a friend of mine preferred it and the app had a whole bunch of bugs. 4 years later I try using the app again and all the same bugs. No maintenance. It’s a dead app. Download zoom
Can finally talk to my friends that don’t have a phone number!

Hi and good day. I just wanted to say that I enjoy the app and that it works wonders with connecting me to my friends and family. But the only thing is that it doesn’t notify me of incoming messages in time. I always have to reload the app to see if I got a new message. Please if any devs are seeing this can you fix this little problem please. Other than that this app is amazing. Thank you

I have used Skype for over ten years now, most exclusively for connecting with my family in Nigeria. Besides that the connection is not too good at times, the service has always been there for me, providing a way to reach out to my folks. When it’s not working well, I report the issue and it has been fixed almost instantly! I just wish the cost of calling and video calls can be reduced and good service increased! Kudos Skype!
