Neat business product

PitchMonk

I am a Microsoft employee and use it on a regular basis. It is a great product.

Undependable and always has been

BigBHaller

S4B and its predecessor Lync on IOS have always been undependable and inconsistent. Its fine for an emergency message that you may need to send, but don't depend on it for being constantly connected or available to others. Some messages may come through, some may come through days later, some may not even show up at all. Also, unlike other clients, the conversations are not persistent across all of the clients. They only appear where they were received. If you have a convo on your desktop, you can't see it in your device. Maybe its the intended architecture, but with today's multi device, mobile world, that is a very useful feature. If there were better clients, I would not use this one.

Not too bad

2hrs away

I live 2 hours from our branch office. This is a great effective tool for us to use to keep us in the field and still be connected to our manager. He is able to share files with us to keep us updated on all the information. One issue that we are seeing is that the mic is too sensitive and it picks up background noise. When this happens, the video switches to that person. Also, it would be nice if you could get off mute easier or have some sort of sign when someone wants to talk. That way people don't talk over each other.

Conversations are missing

EricP12

If I receive a message at my desk and respond on my phone then all phone messages are missing. Conversations do NOT sync between desktop and phone other than original message notification.

Terrible

Msjaave

App doesn't sync with desktop. Can't view full missed conversations. Do not see any point to having app on iPhone! Waste of time and space on my phone.

Rebranded Lync, and a crippled S4B O365 feature set.

Slibbidy

It would be great if the 365 S4B platform had continuous conversation and device syncing. As it is now, it's unusable and we can't roll it out to our company.

Terrible App

stewburt

The app is the biggest piece of junk I've had the pleasure of being forced to use. Our company was on Lync prior, which was far superior to Skype for Business. Skype crashes now when I search for contacts. The mute button in Skype gets stuck just about every single meeting I have; about 2-3 per day. The only work around I have found is to restart. Instant messages are delayed by minutes or not functional. I cannot figure out how to keep a regular phone call from totally disconnecting me from my meeting....

Times out after a few minutes!!!

David Meier Smith

I want to be doing other things on my phone other than stare at the Skype screen. But if I leave the screen, it goes to inactive after only five minutes. I want it to stay active even if I'm on other apps. "Connected on your terms". Yeah, right. Talk about false advertising. UPDATE!!! It's a stupid workaround but it does work. And since the developers at Skype ignore my comments and every one star review that I give it every time they ask... Here you go! If you are ONLY logged into Skype on your phone, you will time out after only five minutes. HOWEVER... If you are ALSO logged into Skype on your PC, and don't have your PC to time out, you will remain "available" on your phone as long as you remain available on your PC! Stupid? Yes. But I need to be mobile a lot of the time and people need to see me as available so they know they can chat with me. So, until Skype fixed it, that's an option for me (and you)!

I can't sign in!

Dogzilla4

I can't sign in. I am using my skype account my Microsoft account will not work why?

Microsoft ruined Skype- unusable now

Red Grange

As usual, typical Microsoft and AWFUL experience trying to use this lousy app. It is impossible to log into (and no solution given except to contact someone who does not exist- typical Microsoft way of telling you that you do not matter as a customer). Login hell- Skype for Business is the latest victim of out of touch Microsoft engineers who are on their own little planet. This is not worthy on Apple devices. Pure garbage and after hours of trying to figure out how to login (with help of 2 other people) the advice given me was to give up- the app is not ready for the market. Another reason I upgraded to all Apple devices- they work! MS is still in the dark ages.
