Battery issues in new releases?

I really like this app, but it has started consuming 35% of my battery! Help!

Signal uses WebRTC (which was poorly designed) and it leaks Your IP.

The app has severe serious multiple issues, like battery drain(*), battery heating, bugs related to audio calling, bluetooth, unable to call on iPad, inability to be fully anonymous without requiring a phone number, no way to backup and restore chats, linked device losing link etc ...and despite all these, what would you think they put their efforts into?! CONVERSATION STICKERS! (*) Wakeups: 45002 wakeups over the last 83 seconds (542 wakeups per second average), exceeding limit of 150 wakeups per second over 300 seconds
Sticker problem

Signal got all hot and bothered and had to add stickers on its way to be messenger and messages. Worse, EVERY SINGLE TIME you go write a message, you are now presented with stickers by default forcing you to take actions to get back to the keyboard. Hot mess. Other issue - delayed messages - sometimes by hours. Otherwise not bad.
A formerly loved app is sliding into the trash

With every “update” I hold my breath hoping the core defects such as frequent loss of connectivity with the server resulting in undelivered messages for many hours will be fixed. Instead I receive more useless features that continue to break the app at deeper levels. The most current update around Jan. 27, 2020, has now given me an app that doesn’t ring when called through Signal. It seems as though Signal has sold to a company like Facebook who’s only interest is to stuff useless features while ignoring basic functionality. BTW, WhatsApp now sends everything you type to Facebook servers before it sends your “encrypted” message to the recipient. I can no longer trust Signal as a secure app and neither should you. It is unlikely you will ever get to see this review as they place very old ones at the top, back when it Was a great and secure app.

Mexico went to just 10-Digit Protocol first of August (No more country prefix). Signal gives "Error" Message for country prefix yet still imputes prefix by Default. Two Thumbs Down. Deleted Signal App.
