It’s a bit creepy to know the app is tracking your driving habits but that’s what they have to do to rate you. I earned my initial discount in a week or two.

Not clear what the dollar figures represent next to each trip. Also, I have been taking a number of 500 mile road trips lately and that high mileage appears to have lowered our score. I think you should add a metric that considers distance per trip. Two 250 mile highway trips expose use to much less risk than ten 50 mile trips in our local area!

I love having a little bit of control over the cost of my insurance! This gives me incentive to drive less distracted!

The app is garbage. Poor quality design. And isn’t driver friendly. 1) You shouldn’t have to share your location 24/7 with it. Talk about invasion of privacy there. 2) Why Bluetooth? Scoring because of Bluetooth being on is a poor excuse. Especially on cars that don’t have it. 3) I’ve gotten some bogus marks on my driving that doesn’t even involve driving. I park, and check my phone. How am I getting a violation mark for that? I’ve even gotten marks for not even being on my phone while I am driving. 4) Poor design is the part where you only get to say “DRIVER”, “PASSENGER”, and “OTHER”. It should say “DRIVING”, “PARKED”, “PASSENGER”, “MASS TRANSIT/WALKING/BIKING” Fix your lame app to do a better job of what it’s meant to do. This is the second review I’ve made.

Apparently the vendor has an auto populated field for international calling (+1) yet the presence of this field blocks my ability to set up an account. I guess I won’t be able to use this app. No insurance discount for me :(

It kind of works. Can’t differentiate between driver and passenger. So the distracted score is bad. Maybe good for a single driver. Also the company quotes on the max discount and does not give it. This is deceptive.
Need a better opt out option

I don’t mind the idea behind this app, after all I signed up for it for the savings. However, there is one big flaw and that is you’re getting tracked every time you’re in a “vehicle”, whether you’re driving or not. Having to opt out every time the app thinks a new trip has started is untenable. First you have to remember that you have to opt out, so I got dinged for my 80 year old Uncles heavy breaking and other interesting driving habits. Then there is the issue of what constitutes a trip. So when I was on a work trip being driven around for site visits I had to go into the app every time we got back into the car: add getting dinged for excessive speed thanks to my co-worker. I don’t drive a lot, but do ride quite a bit and am tired of having to address EVERY SINGLE TRIP! One thing I’ve taken to doing is simply shutting off GPS access to the app when I’m traveling and not driving or driving very little. However, while I’m not getting rated for other people, I am then getting nagging app messages asking why I shut it off. I’m truly beginning to question whether the 5% savings I’ve gotten so far is worth being tracked continuously. I understand that there has to be some way to capture driving data that represents the driver, but the way the app works now puts an excessive burden on the user to accurately report what’s actually happening.

It’s a good app but it needs some work. I drive for Fedex so the app is tracking my driving all day and I’m not in my personal car. So I have to constantly go in there and change things because I’m getting poor reviews in my driving. The app needs more options and better reviews process.
