Buffering and Network Error

This app is horrible. I can watch for random lengths of time with constant buffering and more times than not out of the buffering it shuts down and says Network Error. I have tried with a sting LTE data connection, tried with DSL, and 500 MB fiber connection. All of these have the same result. When it does this it won’t let you back out of the show, you have to completely restart the app. I have tried resetting the phone and re-downloading the app with no luck. There are reviews like this all over the internet once i started looking and have been going on for a long time. I added showtime to my DIRECTV account just to have access here for a few shows that I want to watch. I will be cancelling asap as it is not worth the frustration.


The ABSOLUTE worst streaming app.

I can be watching a show on Wi-Fi or my cellular data with all bars and it will continue to send an error message. It’s so frustrating. It happens with one show, so you try a different one to see if anything changes and it starts right up with no issues. At least for an episode or two and the same thing happens with that one as well. Please fix this. It’s been an issue for a while now. Closing the app out, restarting my phone or iPad, or even deleting the app and reinstalling it. NOTHING HELPS!


Show skipping and then closing

We recently started watching Your Honor and episodes 3-7 (so far) are unwatchable. The show starts fine, the it starts to skip (random times) like an old cd, replaying the same 2-3 seconds a few times then ultimately backs out of episode, returns to the menu, and marks it as watched. It does this on iPhone and Apple TV. I’ve reinstalled both apps with no luck. Sometimes you can fast forward through it and keep watching, but usually not. We’ve resorted to watching it on demand through our cable provider, but they only offer standard definition for Showtime. All other premium channels have an HD version. So the picture only takes up half our tv screen. We’ve watched several series through the app, with only one episode of Shameless doing this same thing. Please fix the bug!!


Constant buffering

I have been using Showtime for a long time. But lately when I am watching, it will stop after less than 10 minutes and flash a msg that network cannot connect or it will stop playing and the circle will spin. I have tried to reboot my whole system, delete the app, and shut down my iPad. It still continues to happen. This does not happen on my tv. Only my iPhone and iPad. This is the only app I have this problem.

Worst app EVER

This app is a piece of garbage. It now makes me login EVERYTIME I use it. I have to activate it every time I watch anything on my 2 new Apple TV’s. This is not a new issue, according to the list of reviews. Maybe I should just stick with HBOmax. That’s it. HBOMAX is much better. After I watch Dexter, I think I will DEactivate. That will solve my problem forever!
