I get that new software is going to tiles because grids are so what....90s but seriously this does not make a user friendly checkout process. If the designers want tiles then why not create the feature to add a grid under a tile for example my location: “space A” so everything I sell is for “space A” tile created as a grid. Then more tiles can be used for other functional use. I watched the video and they lack information needed for small businesses that work pop up location like art fairs and such. Shopify I rave to others about how simple and user friendly everything is and this update is crap. Why change a system that works with the grid and before holiday season.
I would recommend Shopify to no one. The hardware is horrific - all of the devices are manufactured by different companies and they do not communicate well and disconnect randomly making for an awful front of the house customer experience.
When going into saved carts, the person logged in has their name shown on all the carts instead of the customer so we have to go through each individual cart in order to see which we need... NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. Also, scanner isn’t able to register certain products even though item is inventoried on Shopify... VERY TWITCHY update, needs improvement immediately.
It was better the format of the older version. I don’t like this update!!!
I like the general ideas implemented in this new update and hopefully bridging the gap further between brick and mortar and online stores. For mixed use retailers like us (cafe and retail), we’re just waiting on the “coming soon” tipping implementation (but haven’t received any ETA from Shopify), and a more robust inventory management system with PO’s, receiving etc (the current solution seems tacked on, and not internally developed). Finally, a method to mark products as pickup only or shipping only would be much appreciated in the age of curbside pickups. Getting closer.
I’ve had the Worst experience ever! I purchased a plan on Facebook almost 6 weeks ago & could Never get assistance from a human being. Bot responses to detailed questions is no way to run a business, I’ve basically been sold a website with NO opportunity to sell products to customers. Shopify is a Fraud & I want my money back ASAP!
