I needed a charge so parked and downloaded the app and set it up. To start charging I declined the subscription program and pressed pay for one charge. Instead it immediately charged my credit card $25. The machine had two cables but I only one screen to operate both - you need to press the green button or the blue button to operate either cable. So I started charging but before long the woman whose car was charging on the other cable came back and pressed the stop charging button, meaning to stop her own cable, but instead stopped mine. The pricing structure is flat fee $5 plus a charge per kW. So if I had reinitiated a charge I would have been charged another $5. So I left in frustration. My total fee was $7.99. So I called customer service and to their credit, a very helpful woman answered and said she’d put in a request to refund me. She also said people do complain about their pricing structure.
I did everything I was supposed to do, I downloaded the app, uploaded $25, made sure the auto load feature was off (more on this to come), I then parked my car at the BART commuter lot, plugged my car in, scanned the QR code, and nothing happened. The machine noted it was waiting for payment even though the app advised it was charging. The app does not accurately show status. I had to run to catch my train. I called customer support and was told they would fix the problem and my car would charge. I returned to my car 8+ hours later to find it in the same state I left it in. To make matters worse, I was then fraudulently charged $60 3 times, a total of $180. I was told by a technical support rep that a $60 hold will be placed on each usage. That’s right, every time you use one of these machines you will have a $60 hold debited from your account. I’m not sure when it is credited. My $180 worth of holds was not credited until I opened a case to resolve. This is a very shady company with machines that aren’t dependable. Beware.
This has to be one of the worse implementations of ev charging. The app is useless when it comes to show charging status. The latest version appears to have more bugs not less. Have to call now to charge and reps are clueless about issues. I rarely write app reviews but this was so bad. If Shell really wants to undermine ev adoption the are doing it with this half baked system. You would think with the money they have they would want to shine, but this is shameful.
Charging station did not work. Could not communicate with the app tried to call support got "overflow support" who could not help with anything. App uninstalled and they will never get any of my business.
I can't login with my credentials, which means I can't charge at a greenlots location. I spoke to customer support on the phone and they said there's nothing they can do...So I guess I won't be using Greenlots ever?
These days it seems like 75% of the time the app and the chargers aren’t working because of “Network issues.” If you can’t maintain your Network, get out the way so companies that can are able to.
Frustrating charging station!! I tried swiping 6 different credit cards and each time, I got the Authorization Failed message. I then downloaded the app, registered myself and encountered a duplicate credit card message because i wanted to pay as I go instead of funding the $25 to set up a debit account. I then had to delete my credit card and re-enter it in the pay as you go. (The options are not so clear). Once I did this, my card was charged $40. What the hell????!!?
Seriously. I signed up and charging station doesn’t work. The “Help number” forces you to listen to an ad, or take an ad survey... no help at all.
