Inaccurate

Fireandmusic

Just got a Camry. Tried out the app. It takes you into the opposite direction. It says you a there and the location is seven minutes away. Horrible gps system.

Awful app

anan-2

This is an awful, very user unfriendly app. The few defects are: 1) does not show ‘navigation style’ map while driving. It is difficult to drive by just looking at instructions with no visual map on the screen 2) does not sync with the phone. If i type an address on the phone and click ‘go’, the car screen should start guiding me 3) does not reroute and insists on going the same route you planned before the start of the journey 4) slow 5) freezes 6) horrible voice 7) sometimes gives wrong directions I guess the developers have used google maps or apple map. Why couldnt they think of upgrading it to similar levels. It is very poor on toyota’s part to use this system instead of carplay or even just incorporation of google maps

Hard to use

Chanrada

I am owner of Toyota Corolla XSE. It’s fail to pair with my phone a lot and it prom to allows to connect every time. Should it been just a one time connect and ready to use every time? It’s my car after all. Plus navigation is not user friendly. I missed turn 50% of the time. Make it like a 3D map or something. Fix it please.

This app is completely inconsistent. Sometimes it connects to my car and sometimes it doesn’t. It’s never easy. Opposite of simple. Exactly opposite of what someone who is needing navigation would want. It’s easier to just plug in my phone and turn on Google maps. I just ignore it now.

Does not appear to be improved.

Toyota should have adapted the system to use an existing gps mapping system rather than trying to make their own I.e., reinvent the wheel. They should have gone with Google Maps or “Waze”. The standard reply from the developer is too pat and almost insulting, especially when someone has taken the time to give an in depth review as to all the issues/problems they are experiencing. The developer should respond with “ Thank you for your valuable input. We are taking steps to fix these very issues.” And then, dang it FIX THEM and not take six or seven months or more to do so. In the meantime, I use my “Waze” app on my iPhone for my gps. Hopefully, Toyota is paying attention as this is a black eye on their reputation.

Worst navigation app ever!

Texas Ladybug

Just bought a new RAV4. Was excited to get navigation app until I tried it. It won’t allow me to put home address or any address in. Wish I could just use my phone app.

Non Functioning

adriangruber29

Purchased 2017 Toyota Rav 4 Lxe, vehicle is perfect but the nav system by scout gps will not function. Using Apple IPhone 8 as nav system. I will inform Toyota about their non-functioning “SCOUT GPS” THAT DOES NOT FUNCTION.

The worth app i’ve ever dealt with. Did not know that it is the only app that may be used on the display, otherwise probably reconsidered buying 2018 Camry. Will remove this app from my iphone as absolute useless

Needs major updating!!!

rss1531

Works ‘OK’ most of the time on my 2018 Camry XSE but very quirky and lags behind. The most disappointing part is that it lacks in features that other car brands have with similar apps. Why no Speed Limit notification?

Rav-4

Orio ?

I know this will probably get lost in the other reviews, but sometimes when I’m home alone I like to go out in my garden and cover myself with dirt and pretend I’m a carrot.
