I love the website and I'm sure I'd love this app, but it is frustrating to have to log in every time you open the app. Please add the option to stay logged in.

Having to sign in every time is annoying and simply not worth it. Additionally, a large number of their own books haven't been uploaded and so scanning them provides no information as to DRA and Leslie levels.

Pros: having your entire book library on a digital device. Cons: having to sign in every time you open the app. They need to put WAY more books (even their own) into their database, HOWEVER most of mine were in there. The main issue I found was that after scanning the barcode, it didn't recognize the book... but if I searched by name the book was in their database so I just added it that way. My book lists crashes routinely with an "oops your request has timed out" notification...which isn't useful if I need to view my list obviously. Altogether I think once these problems are addressed you will have yourself one awesome app!!! -homeschool mom of 3 with a book library of a few hundred.
Could be awesome, but right now is super glitchy

The scanner beats typing each and every one of my book titles in to level my library, but it's very glitchy. The scanner freezes often. Also many titles are not in the database, even Scholastic titles! So while it has sped up the process, it is no where near what it could and should be. I have not used the list feature. Logging in every time I use the app is a pain, especially because there is no data I want kept secret in the app. Why would I care if people could see my classroom library list? If you are going to make me log in every time Touch ID or saving the password is required for efficiency. Some tips for users: I've found holding the camera at an angle to the barcode helps. Putting the camera closer to the barcode helps. Sometimes if the back cover barcode doesn't work, there is another barcode inside the cover that will work. Step it up Scholastic and this app could rock.

This is a terrible app. The need to login is constant. The app takes forever to find a book. You have to delete each book title before putting in a new one. The reading level drop down is right over the search where you type in the titles. I downloaded it because I read something about being able to scan a ISBN. But I didn't find that feature because everything took so long and I finally just deleted the app. I am a teacher and I need a quick way to find Lexile levels but this isn't going to be it.

I agree with all recent reviews before me: this app has the potential to be great. My biggest pet peeves: 1. Scholastic books aren't in here ... a joke, at least start with your own titles, especially if GR levels found on your website, importing shouldn't be that hard! 2. Logging in each time stinks!!! 3. Doesn't sync on all your iOS devices ... major bummer! I have over 800 titles in my classroom library. Worth buying "Level it" app and using this as a backup for searching titles. I really hope this app improves and at LEAST updates with all of Scholastic titles, that would be huge!!!

My experience is similar to others. Not a broad selection of books in their database. Mostly, I'd like to be able to search by subject, reading level, genre, etc.

I gave it one star because I had to in order to post. I have nothing good to say about this app. It does not serve it's purpose. The scanner NEVER works and when I've searched for a book it didn't show up in the app, but it showed up on the website version. Huh?? The scholastic book wizard website is much more reliable! Give that a try until the app gets it together.
Scanner is cool but database needs a lot of upgrades

For some reason now the app won't let me log into my account. It keeps telling me my password is incorrect when it's not! I agree with all the other reviews. I cannot even find your own books in here when they are listed in the flyers with all their information. Very frustrating!
