Needs improvement

I like having a list of my classroom library books, but there needs to be some definite changes. There are too many titles that are not included, and when we add a book, we should have the ability to add the cover photo and a description. There should also be the ability to edit titles/authors within our own classroom library. For example, the 1st Magic Treehouse book is listed by Mary Pope Osbourbe, whereas #3 is credited to Sal Murdocca. So, when I sort by author, my series books don’t always line up together, which I find very annoying. My first Harry Potter book, the author is listed as Mary GrandPre, the cover illustrator! I’m a bit anal when it comes to sorting books, so I find these things very annoying. It seems like they would be easy enough to fix within the app, so please take them into consideration.

Few books in the system.

I was excited to see this app so I could check on levels for kids books they pick out, but as stated by other reviews I was surprised how many book titles were not available when scanned. Defeats the purpose of the app for me. This would be an excellent app if it actually recognized books.

Needs development desperately

This would be an awesome tool for librarians trying to re-label our libraries with Guided Reading book levels, but it has maybe 1 out of every 15 books I scan in its database. As of right now, it is unusable for me.

Books not found

I love the idea of this app and it definitely helped level my books when I first starts teaching. I am also an avid scholastic book order user, I send orders home with students every month and often make orders of my own. However, when I get new books from Scholastic and then go to use the SCHOLASTIC book leveler more often than not the book is not found or the levels are not available. I would understand this problem if I wasn’t getting books from Scholastic but I am. It’s really frustrating when most of my books are not in the system. Please update this more often so I can actually use it for my classroom library.

Great idea. Like that you can add a book title that doesn't scan - but as asked why do so many not scan. Also why can I not add the level when I have to type in the book?

Great App

This makes my life so much easier when I get new books that need to be leveled for my classroom library. Of course, not every single book ever made is going to be in there, not is every single book leveled for every single system, but more often than not I find what I need. This is truly a great tool.

Decent for being free

I appreciate being able to scan all my books into one list. The scanner has been glitchy. Wish there was an easier way to search your list instead of scrolling through entire thing. Also wish ALL books included reading level (one of the main reasons I got the app to know levels of my books). I also like the new added “borrow” feature! Lastly, I’ve been trying to do the recommendation analysis report and it has not worked for two days. Tried deleting and downloading app again. Help?! Has a lot of progress to go but gets the basic job done and it’s free!

Disappointed

I really wanted this app to work because it has many of the features I would love to be able to use in my classroom! However, it is so glitchy and freezes after just few scans, I had to delete and search for a better app.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app!!

It’s essy to scan a book’s ISBN code using my phone & have instant access to each book’s Lexile levels, Fountas & Pinnell’s levels, as well as the DRA levels. Truly a teacher’s dream app for organizing a classroom library with leveled readers! I also love how the app can track books I’ve entered into my classroom’s library list. Hopefully this will assist my students & me as we become better at tracking those lost/missing/hiding books that tend to wander away.

New and Improved

We tested out the new updates and they are great! The best feature is the multi-book uploaded. Just scan scan scan and they pop right in. I’ve tried Luther apps and get mad when they don’t recognize books. This one picked up even our odd-ball non-fiction books, bargain bin, old editions, book fair books, etc. App is easy enough for my son to help. He thought scanning his personal library was awesome. The analyzer feature is cool. It takes a bit if you have tons of books to analyze, but seeing what you have and where there are holes is super helpful (especially if you have thousands of books like me).
