Needs better controls

Great classic game, great graphics but needs better controls. Game is touchy using finger to control the ship and you can't see what sneaks up behind u when using your finger.

Touch controls are disaster for shmups. RType II is wonderful. Time to get the classic one up to snuff guys

This is a wonderful adaptation of a classic shooter! The continuous fire mode means that you can focus more on strafing and dodging. This may be my favorite incarnation of this game!

In an apparently undocumented feature, R-TYPE is iOS 7 game controller-compatible just like its R-TYPE II counterpart. I have been playing it with my SteelSeries Stratus and it has worked flawlessly.
