I don't know if the ads are real people or if the accounts are old. I feel I was catfished to spend money on a service or two,like it would matter but it did not.

Although the app has some flaws for those who have a short amount of time to find a place, less than a week or so, this is a legit business. I saw multiple places found via this app while I was moving into NYC, with high competition and price volatility one could assume the value of the app. It possesses verification evaluations which will help you stir away from scammers. You can also book the rooms from within the app itself, which eliminates the need of having to visit the room beforehand. Do keep an eye out for actually booking if you haven’t read the terms and conditions of the renter.

It was a waste of time and money. They make more money the longer you stay on the app. After all the money I spent boosting my ad on Roomi, I still ended up just finding someone to fill my available room on Craigslist.

Why did y’all remove the feature to view on map instead of list???? I’m trying to search on the map but it’s gone.

My personal experience along with those I know who have used this application had been mostly only positive, with successful results. The people using the app to rent or find housemates have been savvy communicators, and it has been a pleasure using the app to explore new housemates! I feel grateful for the verification process, and it’s worth the investment to get verified. I also noticed an increase in the number of people who reach out to you afterwards, which means it probably helps your visibility in the app as well. The only flaw is that I think the app initially offered a map list view of all renting opportunities but it disappeared from the interface after my first day (Or I have not been able to find it again, at least)

I booked a room through the app but the company that was renting out the room was more than shady. Even two months after moving out they have not returned the security deposit. I expect the app to be more careful in who to work with... additionally I had to pay a hefty fee to roomi a fee to move into the place. Never again...

Hey I like the way the app is set up but one concerning issue. I would like to address is I live in Michigan, and there is no listings for it when asked where I want to live. is this unfixable or can you add my area in?
