Glitchy and frustrating

I had some positive early experiences with this app but it’s become very glitchy: 1. They recently updated the app, and now you can’t access potential roommates profiles from the chat section, meaning you can only view someone’s profile until you decide to chat with them and that’s it. Very frustrating when you’re talking to a few potential roommates and want to check details on their profile to confirm fit, or show other roommates someone’s profile. 2. It’s very difficult to update your timeline with the slider function, so many people have incorrect timing on their profiles, leading people down unnecessary paths and wasting their time. 3. If you don’t want notifications, be prepared to have to confirm that you don’t want notifications every time you click a button in the app.

I’ve been using the app for a bit. It attracts good apartments and good people. But the execution is so bad - my messages disappeared at one point. Now they are back, but with cryptic ids that don’t allow me to go back to the profile of the person. The last ‘update’ was just the worst. Big fixes my butt. They introduced more bugs - and I didn’t see any improvements. I got to get the room rented and I’m about to give up on this platform.

So y’all just gnna update the app and then delete the messages BUT ALSO make it impossible to re-message the people we lost messages with? Stop updating and just leave the update process alone. Y’all should’ve just kept it to how it was because now it’s TRASH.

Roomi deleted current messages I had with a potential roommate - while we were trying to coordinate for me to see their place. It also doesn’t let you to request to chat to message this person again since I previously sent a message.

New update is horrible

Super glitchy. Previous messages got deleted and some combined with other messages from other users. From the message tab I am unable to view the users profile and listing. It’s extremely frustrating.

Impossible to use the app due to the number of bugs. Messages lost, deleted, links don’t work, names are replaced with code, says I have no listings when I clearly do... I reached out to their support and they told me they would give me a free ‘boost’ to make up for it but that still hasn’t happened. It’s unbelievable that anyone would let an app like this go live with how broken it is. Was there any testing done at all?

Unable to Access Messages Rendering App Useless

I have contacted support to try and resolve an issue of being unable to view my messages through the app. As of now, if you go to the ‘message’ icon, the only thing that shows up is your ‘Chat Requests’. If you go to the online version on your phone, it will show some past messages, but not all of them or even current ones, and is super glitchy. If you use the desktop version, it only shows you old messages, not new ones. I know that it is not showing new messages due to the fact I still receive e-mails when someone does message me, yet doesn’t show up through any of those three options. They are aware of this issue, and have continually updated the app over the past week, yet nothing is resolved. If you can’t message people, you can’t find a room or roommate- especially if you are in a time crunch. Also, if you’ve paid to boost your ad, you’re wasting money. Don’t waste your time and money with this app.

I upgraded to the newest version and lost all my message history. Now I can’t meet up with potential roommates. Poor quality.

I can’t message people and my messages from other people are disappearing. This app just feels like a scam, the only thing that does seem to work is paying to ‘Boost’ my listing, aka making it show up at all to people who are looking for rooms.
