Zimzum278

Works ok but no way to go back from the live view on iPad except closing app and re opening....needs a back button

Slow

AirXson

The app is way too slow. When the door bell rings, the camera loads so slowly that the person is already gone.

Getting worse! Not better

Miadesign

Ring used to be the answer to all my security problems. Brought doorbells and floodlights. Cancelled my alarm service to go with Ring’. Never happened. Now the Ring products I do have are undependable. Lights come on all night for no reason. I turned them to ‘people only’. Have light setting off. Still comes back on every time I turn them off. People walk all around my house and maybe only one camera in backyard alerts me. Also, my floodlight cams on the back used to have clear pictures. This new follow the motion does not allow me to identify the person on my floodlights or doorbell 2. Only the original doorbell is clear. Not sure I want to invest further in ring. Especially since it looks like it may not get HomeKit compatibility. Need an alarm before the end of this month for insurance purposes. I was dedicated to Ring. Looking for other products for two homes. Wanted you to know the best thing about Ring is their prompt response and service. Was able to get a service callback on my problems that started March 1st also. Evidently it was some of my floodlights not properly taking software upgrades. I wish they would post on their systems troubles page when they have upgrades. Some companies even email about the upgrades. At least then we know to expect there might be problems. Thanks again for your prompt responses. Upgraded to a 4. Will see if you get a 5 soon.

Live view working again

Live view not working with cellular data after iOS update

john2018$$

Live view does not work with cellular data, it did work about a few months before I did the iOS 11.2.6 update. The live view works perfectly on WiFi though. So I did everything from uninstall ring app and power phone off, clear history and cookies, clear network settings. I have an old phone with iOS 11.1 still live view not working thru cellular data, but I finally tried older phone with iOS 9.3.1 and live view works thru cellular data. My conclusion is the iOS update from apple. Not cellular service cause tried on different cellular carriers and still live view blue circle keeps spinning, until I try older iOS 9.3.1.

Not sure this was the right decision

Scotto11

I’ve had this product for a while but it has not worked as smoothly or consistently as advertised and the issues lately are worse than ever. Reading the reviews there seems to be some serious issues here. What good is security if it is unreliable and won’t work when you need it - without constant management to make sure everything is working. No live view is pretty bad ...

Neighborhood function buggy

AZKojin

This is an updated review. Using the Ring 2 doorbell, the camera is much better than the original. After deleting the app and reloading it the neighborhood function works. Initially I was unable to adjust the size/ shape of my neighborhood. Attempting to do so generated an error and no postings were present, but reloading the app fixed the problem.

Slow, very slow!

Dawling

By the time Ring notifies you that someone is at your door, they have already left your porch! I decided to stop paying the monthly fee, because to me, it was a waste of money! I am an Electronics Engineering Tech who’s main job is worldwide tech support on Electronic Test equipment. I also work pt at Home Depot and am always asked about my experience with Ring. I am torn between telling them my true experience and the one I was hoping to experience because I believed in the product so much! I now avoid answering these questions altogether! In this day and age, there is a lot of scam artists out there who avoid people with the Ring doorbell. For that reason alone, I give Ring 2 stars.

One star to get Ring’s attention

In February ring updated app to allow me so snooze motion alerts for a certain amount of time right from the Apple Watch. This feature disappeared week or so ago. What gives?

August Doorbell offering free 24hr storage

Rocco Jam

Ring is a awesome product but other companies are rolling out 24 hr free video storage support... Ring needs to roll out free 24 hr video recording or at least 12 hrs not buying a membership to keep your video recordings or even see a missed alert. Hope you all change this and make happier customers:).
