So some days it is working great, other days it won’t transfer money to people... the live agents are very helpful but the app is not good enough. It crashes a lot and sorry, but I much preferred when I could swipe through my different bank accounts- not need to click on the different ones. Please try to fix these issues...


TERRIBLE BANKING

I just moved to Europe from the US, so a mobile banking app with multiple currency account options sounded pretty great. I added $10 to the card because I couldn't order a physical card without one, BUT nowhere on the app did it state that I needed my identity verified BEFORE making any monetary transactions. I have an American passport, I have an American driver's license, I have no European paperwork because I just moved here and am waiting for it. How does the app allow you to put in money but refuse to verify you, so you can USE your own money. Customer service number is 100% automated, and the "chat" automated as well. There is NOBODY to contact about this problem, my money is trapped in Revolut, which I no longer want, and I am unable to close the account because I can't verify myself, so I can't transfer the money out to my American bank account!! What a scam!

The idea is brilliant - and it works – for some! For instance if you are a backpacker or you want to pay someone a small sum in a foreign currency in a foreign country, Revolut is for you. However, if you are dealing in bigger things: real estate, a car, a boat etc., if you want to transfer 5 or 6 figures from one bank account to another, you will immediately fall victim to Revolut’s outrageous “money laundering“ algorithms. Your whole account is frozen pending an investigation into source and destination of the money you are sending and you are told to be patient since this may take “up to 96 hours“. If you are an honest person and dealing with honestly earned money this might already seem unacceptably long to you, but unfortunately that statement is a lie. In my case I have suffered twice through more than 6 weeks of frozen funds, not being able to conduct my business, totally helpless and not knowing whether my money was lost forever. Because during that time period there is only one way to communicate with Revolut: through their in-app chat. However, whatever you put in there is ignored. They simply do not answer, there is no way to expedite the process or to talk to anyone with a semblance of a human brain. Your money is lost in space and you have no idea when, if ever, they return control over YOUR money to YOU. I have held a Revolut account for more than a year and after my wife and I experienced this desaster three times we have closed our accounts and returned to more traditional banking methods. I have no problems demonstrating to anyone the legitimacy of my funds, but unless Revolut can accomplish their “know your customer“ due diligence within say 24 hours, that bank is not for people like me.

I’ve been using Revolut since it was opened and since then, the quality of all their services has been significantly deteriorating. I can report guys, it is absolutely horrible now. Do not buy these cheap headings about easiness and other bla bla bla. The app crashes all the time, support is useless and extremely rude, basically they just ignore my messages. And now the best guys, I was unable to pay with a Metal card 4 times in 5 day! Processing partner and other fairy tales... I’m sorry but I can’t care less. Why am I paying for a Metal card, to feel awkward when I try to pay and it doesn’t work?... I was lucky that a merchant accepted Apple Pay, and I’ve had my proper bank cards connected.


WORST SERVICE

by far the worst service I’ve received. I have been moved from “agent” to “agent” more than 5 times and never got what I need. Simultaneously they have blocked my account t and I can not use it: as a metal member paying 135 a year I am supposed to have service but instead they offer NOTHING !!!


Dark theme?

This is a great service and I use it as my main bank service and card provider, but the app is missing one thing - Dark Theme. It’s taking waaaay too long to add that in, Revolut! I’ll make sure to update that review to 5 stars as soon as you add the Dark Theme.

This is the only way to go ! I work and travel through many European countries that are part of the EU but don’t have or use the euro. This card maks my life super easy I only need one card to pay for everything I need while traveling . Everyone accepts this pin card and I don’t have to exchange monies any more ! I simply more what I need to each currency can’t be any easier!


Worst customer service experience in my life

Wait before giving any money to Revolut. I have been now stuck 3 times over 6 months with their customer service: each time it took weeks (literally weeks!) to solve the same basic source of funds issue and whilst you wait for someone to answer you are completely stuck and have no way to raise your concern as your help function is stuck in “search for an available agent” mode for weeks at the time. Revolut should definitely loose their license.
