This is a well reviewed VPN but for me it is very slow. And much slower than the other two VPN solutions I know and use. The connections don’t last long either and I have to switch at least every two hours

Seems to work but drops out at times. That little icon at top is more like a lottery bet, it may showing but not working. Pricing of the subscriptions is such to make me nervous about being left high and dry after a month when paid a year upfront. I am not saying it doesn’t have value but others have gigged me before in similar situations. Maybe these issues could be addressed so that customers could be comfortable with reliability of product.

Similar issue to ‘randomuntakennickname.’ Message “ Connection Error” “ A previous VPN connection is preventing you from creating a new one. To resolve this issue, please restart your device.” This typically, and now constantly appears after a device has momentarily dropped a (reliable) WiFi connection due to screen time-out setting or other reason. Attempting to remedy the issue than restart, such as logout and re-login or even app delete and reinstall does not resolve the issue. Unwillingness to restart a device means the VPN’s ordinary functioning is rendered inoperative. _________\\\________ Edited 8-9-19 ** Changed 2-star rating to 4-Star **** It is unclear how or why this issue has resolved, but the using P-VPN with iOS 12.4 on a iPhone 7 Plus has begun reconnecting without snags again. There was no change in the WiFi networks used, which do not block or prohibit VPNs, and 4G-LTE use was not affected, although the app was deleted, then reinstalled.(Same version.) I cannot complain as a user of the free version.

They don’t release updates very often, last one as I post this was over a month and a half ago. My main issue is there is no per app settings on the iOS version. I went back to PIA and will check out ProtonVPN again in a year. Love the mail side and I want to support them.

This app is abusive and out of control. Do not use this app under any circumstances. I did not remember password. Signed up to try it out 2 weeks ago and have not needed to use the password since then. Could not find my password book. This app took over my iPhone and blocked my every move. Would not let me make calls, access App Store, delete the app; etc. It put a box in middle of screen, every time I cancelled it, it came right back, which prevented me from accessing any other options. The box pre-empted clicking on any other buttons or pages. It would not let me delete the app or any app or turn off the vpn in settings. It completely disabled my phone because I did not remember the new never used password. It happens when you are are a senior. I had to use other phone to call support tech to intervene. Who gave app permission to shut down whole iPhone? I didn’t. It took the liberty without authorization to take over control of the phone and disable every feature and option. When it should have just shut down the app. I attempted to change the password, it would not let me. I turned off the phone multiple times. If it thinks it can act as phones owner it can pay the bill. It is this type of attitude from app owner that demonstrates mental authoritarian issues of arrogant self loathing and greed. During the disabling of my iPhone it kept directing me to membership page to extort money thru premier member plan of $30 a month by default because of rapid pressing of cancel button for inputting password I did not remember. So that rapid pressing of cancel would result in inadvertent pressing of acceptance of $30 per month button just underneath password button in box.

Why is my IP address still exposed with ProtonVPN? It also logs everything. Most people looking for VPN’s want to use No Logging. I’m giving this a try, seems pretty cool, but there are a few things that are a little confusing. Anyways, this is still a great VPN for anyone that wants a Free VPN. However, it is best to pay a VPN to get the full privacy and security features. If I do pay, it will have to be a different service because ProtonVPN does not appear in any “Best VPN’s” articles reviews. Still, I recommend ProtonMail, it is a fantastic service.

COD isn’t out on America, so I use Australian servers... The only thing I don’t like is that you have to delete and download this app and use a different email to use Australian servers... I do this so I didn’t have to pay... Please fix this.
