Why? I wish I would have read the reviews. FYI it's super important for the entries to be saved okay? It's extremely frustrating that the entries keep deleting but I guess the app developers understand the idea of a journal but are not real journal writers. All the fonts and backgrounds don't mean anything if the entries that you put your time and feelings into are gone. Sigh.

Change it back

The lock feature is annoying. The calendar used to open to the current day, Now you have to find the date in the calendar, why? Please make it simple again, I just want to write in my journal, not too complicated.

I like the App itself...but cannot sync across devices

The look and feel of the app is nice. However I have 2 major issues. 1) The app cannot be synced across devices. I installed Drop-box on both my iPhone & iPad. Enabled sync. However, each separate app created its own backup in drop box. Not able to share. 2) Regardless of the day, the app always defaults to the date it was installed. It's a shame that such a great app cannot resolve common functions. An app that could be 5 star drops to 2 for lack of common functionality.

I have been using this app for many years now. I have always wanted somewhere to write about my cruddy days, and I would NEVER risk my secrets pouring out of a book diary again. Now, no one can know my secret secrets!

Ok, it is now May 13, 2016. Almost a year after the update that causes all this trouble. You finally prepared an update to fix the crashing the app does on start up. But it didn't work. Sigh. That is ok. I've learned to deal with the fact that several months of my private thoughts and ideas are locked away forever in the interwebs. I thought I would need therapy to get over the loss, but as it turns out...I'm gonna be just fine. I've moved on the another journal app and called this a lesson learned. I thought about removing your app from my phone...but like an ex's phone number...I just can't take that step just yet. ? It is September 7th. I check in now and again to see if there is a new update that might fix whatever keeps this app from opening on my iPhone. Not sure why I do this. Clearly the developers don't care and/or are too stupid to fix the problem. I have emailed them, as have others. I only update the review to keep others from making the same mistake I did. Download some other journal app. ANY other journal app. So here we are at July 26th. I switched to Penzu. A way better experience overall. Plus I can access the journal by app OR online. I should have gone this route to begin with. Fortunately I did not have any life altering entries in this app that failed miserably, but some people did and I feel terrible for them. I have emailed the app developers but they apparently have no ability or desire to make this app actually work again. There is a special circle of hell for people like that. I wish I could give this app a negative rating instead of just a one star. (July) Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME??? You put out an update and it still doesn't fix the problems. Gee, how about this. Reverse all your crappy updates, and inept upgrades and let us back into this app so we can get our stuff off of this journal and move on to something more reliable. Like paper and pencil. YOU ARE THE WORST! (June 2015)I have used this app for about 1.5 years without a problem. Now, I updated it and after trying to sync it to Dropbox, it crashes. And I can't get the app to open to unsync it with Dropbox. I wish I had known, I would not have updated the app. Very disappointed.

Takes forever to open an iPad Pro. Badgers me to set my lock code even though I already have. Sometimes doesn't remember anything I've added between sessions. Utterly useless.

I used to really like this app, I used it everyday and now after every update it seems to get worse. Sometimes when I type it doesn't even show up on the page. It also keeps adjusting the screen down when I need it to be toward the top of the page.

I have a years worth of entries that I can no longer view because of some kind of code that it demands with no way to get around it or any explanation of how to set a code. Bad system design!

Total disappointment

Did you ever spend time and thought composing something worthy only to have it totally disappear. That's the only thing I've gotten from this app. To top it off, I sent them a support request. It was never acknowledged, let alone answered. The last thing I need is for an app designed to lose what I write. I can do that buy myself. Oh, and there's no indication of how to save anything. It allegedly syncs to Dropbox but I've yet to see that. I'm disgusted. Use at your own risk.
