my favorite podcast app

I constatly listen to podcasts and every time Apple updated their native podcast app it got worse. I researched and tried several before I landed on this several years ago. Great app and I’m still very happy with its performance.

Great for Banned Podcasts!!!

If you have an app that doesnt allow for manually importing an RSS feed - thats censorship. And you should seriously ask yourself why they are doing it. I downloaded this app so I could add Infowars to my feed, since Silicon Valley has united to block his speech on just about every platform. Very happy with the app and it works well for all my business and investing feeds as well. I really like that it works even when I turn the screen off, saving battery life. If youre tired of mommy and daddy tech deciding what you should see and hear, fight censorship and ditch your other podcast app!

Worst user interface - not intuitive at all

Bokehbraz

I’ve played with this app on and off for a while, probably a couple years. PROS: I like the option it offers to organize podcasts into categories as sometimes I’m in the mood for a particular topic and don’t want to scroll through all the different types and topics of podcasts I have. CONS: The user interface is ridiculous and the instructions are nonexistent within the app. I have a bunch of podcasts I’ve listened once or twice, but I now want to delete them. The problem is I cannot find a way to delete them. I can move them, but not delete them. There are other issues too, but they are along the same vein of things that should be easy to do, but are bafflingly difficult and there are no instructions within the app. At this point, I’ll stick with Overcast, Pocketcast or even the native iOS app.

Feature packed

Baltlmore

Excellent player with included dark theme. Very clear interface especially useful if using podcast with many unplayed episodes in feed. Overcast simpler interface but can't mark episodes as played or unplayed, account required on their server and no good backup system--easy to lose playing history. RSS uses iCloud sync and can backup several ways. Apple Podcast good second choice but not as full featured.

Extremely Customizable, Yet Still Easy to Use

Rachuni

This is my absolute favorite app to listen to podcasts on. My only wish is when adding podcasts by keyword that individual episodes also matching that keyword would also show up along with the shows.

The best

Just good, organized, customizable podcast listening. By far the best if you listen for 8+hrs. Per day.

Would be 5 but...

Love this app but on my iPhone the player on the home screen just goes away. This causes several issues. The podcast won’t start back up when my gps interrupts for directions. It doesn’t pause when I take out my AirPod. All the issues stem from the home screen player going away. Sometimes I have to kill the app and restart and sometimes I need to reboot my phone to get it back on the home screen. All other media apps like Apple Music, apple podcast, Netflix etc. stay on the home screen fine. It’s only this app. I’ll change my rating to 5 stars if this is fixed.

Used to be great

App hasn't been updated in months and has constant issues restarting the audio after other alerts or calls interrupt it. I tried contacting the developer but never hear back.

Not Intuitive

Stuck in Indiana

Simple tasks like discontinuing a podcast subscription are hard to do.
