Do not update to this version!

icantthikofanything

This is infuriating since I’ve been using this app for years to listen to podcasts. I loved this app because of the level of control you had over your listening experience. This new version is super glitchy. There is a delay about 25% of the time when I select an action, like play! The tracker that shows what minute/second mark you are at in a podcast always gets stuck or stalls, so it will show that I’m at the 7:02 mark for the whole podcast! It won’t move and I can’t scrub forward or back. The cover art always gets mixed up. I’m constantly looking at cover art for another podcast - not the podcast I’m listening to. The All/Unplayed toggle was unnecessary and it defaults to Unplayed, and I wish it would default to All, so I don’t have to hunt to find a podcast that just played. It automatically removes played podcast from the playlist, which I also kinda hate. Both of these should be things I control as a user, but can’t. Last complaint is there is no dark mode. This app is bright and white - I used to be able to choose black, which is just better on my eyes. I hate the newspaper like aesthetic. Prior to this update, my only issue was that you could not easily make a playlist of podcasts and I wish that had been addressed. This update is a dumbed down version of what was a really good app. It’s obvious they’re catering to the market of people who just wanna press play - but as someone who listens to dozens of podcasts, having the ability to control and tweak preferences and proper functionality is key. Users like me are a market too and some people like the ability to control how the app looks and functions. This update totally missed the mark. I’m spending my morning writing this and found myself doing something I never thought I would need to do - find a new podcatcher app :(

Bring Back The Archive Feature!!!!

Sbcalimay

I have loved RSS for a long time. But the newest version seems to have removed the archive feature. I have 300 podcasts queued. Every now and then I get realistic and archive stuff I am not interested in. Please bring back archive.

Changed my settings

Lunitar

Still like it, but can’t find dark mode anywhere.

New version an absolute mess

anonymous ostrich

Part of why I used RSS Radio was ease of organization, but now I can’t manually archive shows, and the new version is a mess. Shows keep getting pulled out of my play queue but are still marked as listened, the app has crashed more frequently, and I can’t even get in contact with the developer through the app as I should be able to. I can’t contact him at all to bring up these issues (including through his website). Finally, the app crashed and then got rid of many shows I subscribed to, bringing back others I had I unsubscribed from.

Missing an app that works

kep28

I have used this app for many years with no complaints. Now it’s terrible and I’m going to have to find a new way to listen to podcasts. Nothing works anymore. Subscription settings change without warning. The play queue erases itself while I’m in the middle of listening to something. Podcasts will disappear out of my library and other ones will appear. I give up.

Problem

Dorman88

It Keeps erasing random podcasts. I’ll resubscribe and a moment later it disappears again.

Best Podcast App

Naldo V.

I have been using this from the beginning and it's simple to use but robust features have made listening to podcasts seemless. Thanks for the continued support on the app and love the new logo/redesign!

Great app. I highly recommend.

USED TO BE GOOD

NDNtaco

Can no longer do night mode. Can’t swipe to delete ‘listened to’ podcasts. Can’t archive so it takes up a ton of memory. It was my favorite podcast app but it looks like I’ll be switching to a new one now.
