Used this app for several years, and now ALL MY DATA IS GONE! The new update wiped out everything...made me log in, which I have never done before. Hugely disappointed, and customer service is a joke. No customer support. This is totally unacceptable for a financial app...so much work, and now it's gone. Do they even read these reviews?? Please help us Pocket Expense!! Would give 0 stars if I could. I will reconsider if I can get my data back!
Great idea but poor customer service & poor app performance

Pro: -Multiple accounts. -Level of customization. Con: -Company has not return 3 of my emails in the past. -Two weeks ago, on the morning of December 22, 2016, I was logged off of my account by their server, and when logged back in I discovered some recent data was missing. This raised question & fear in my mind as I have relied on this app heavily (do mind that I manually sync the app everyday and set also an automatic sync to their server). And by the way this is the 2nd time it happened. The 1st time around All of my data was gone. It was very disheartened to see that all of my data history was gone in a blink of an eye. I had given them 2 chances and now questioning myself for the 3rd time around. -Dropbox service was discontinued yet was still charged full price. Having uploaded to Dropbox was one of the key factors to upgrade to full version. -Company's business ethic is questionable: I had paid full price for the previous version. Yet when they updated their app, they demand their customers to pay another full price in order to have the newer full version. I contacted their customer service 3 times and received no reply at all. None. Summary: Great idea of a personal finance app! However, poor customer service & poor app performance raised serious concern. I am now considering & looking for another app with better & reliable performance accompany with a reasonable business ethics.

I have used this app to track my expenses for the last three years and was very satisfied. However, in mid-December I was suddenly forced to log in, even though I never log out of this app. I noticed when I viewed an expense report (my favorite feature), that the numbers were off. I soon realized that the app had been updated, with two categories altered. The "Dining" category had been changed to "Eating out," however, none of my previous entries had been carried over! The IRA Contribution category had been eliminated completely. This meant that all of the numbers on my reports were inaccurate! In looking more carefully I noticed that the entries themselves were still there, but had been categorized as "null." I wrote to support, but never received a reply. I therefore decided to painstakingly go through the calendar day by day to reclassify these entries. This was extremely labor intensive. Finally, I finished going back through 2014. When I viewed an annual report for that year I noticed that now ALL of my date from the first half of 2014 was completely gone! Fortunately, I have hard copies of those reports, but the great convenience was that I had all of that information at my fingertips and could very quickly look back and make monthly or even yearly comparisons. This was a great disappointment, but when I started reading reviews, I realized that I didn't have it nearly as bad as others who had lost ALL of their information! Why isn't tech support responding or working to correct this problem??!!! Have they abandoned this app?? If so, then why the recent update that caused all the problems to begin with?! Very FRUSTATING!!!

After the last download, I lost all the years information. No after service, I paid for the app, wasn't free. Extremely disappointed. Have tried several times to post but when you rate one star they don't let you with the excuse of the nickname being taken, have used very uncommon nicknames but it is a way to stop you

I purchased this app about two years ago. I used it continually for about a year. I stopped using it because I needed something that could sync between devices. So for the last year and a half I have tried many other apps similar to this one but to no ad veal. Last week I was about to just give up when I remembered this app. I looked it up and saw that it has undergone many updates since I used it last. I have to say that it's perfect. Everything I was looking for is here. So I give it a full 5 stars so far. I hope they keep up the good work. I dropped this app down to 4 stars due to customer support. The app itself is a great app. There is still some bugs with the summary page. I've asked about this for a year now and have never gotten any response. The bugs are not to bad so I just over look the summary page.
