The app will not play my music through the speakers. Very disappointed!

Cannot play Apple Music Songs

simonaj05

Good app but if you are an Apple Music subscriber you cannot play downloaded music from your device to your Play-Fi speaker.

Worst update so far

NThio

I've generally been very happy with the play-fi app and speakers until this latest app update. First of all I kept having issues with the app not being able to update all my speakers. I probably spent a couple hours trying over and over to get the updates to complete... until you do so the app won't let you use the non updated speakers. Now that they are all successfully updated I'm having trouble connecting to the speakers. Sometimes it works other times it just times out trying to connect to them. It's very frustrating to have an app and speakers that worked, suddenly not work. Each time I want to play music on a speaker I'm spending more time that's it's worth to get it to connect. Hopefully DTS will send another update through to fix this.

Doesn't support Apple Music

Pat and ben

Need to update so Play Fi speakers work with Apple Music.

Def Tech speakers amazing App is Crap

skelchner

I just bought Def Tech. W Studio Micro Soundbar and W7's. Best sounding speakers of anyone's, but this App is the biggest piece of crap I have ever used and may force me to return the speakers and get something else. Connects 25% of the time. Have to unplug and re power speakers daily to get all 3 speakers to connect even though they are solidly connected to wifi network daily . Surround mode locks up the speakers and you have to reset them up from scratch again. I have never been so frustrated.

Works well

This App is working really well with Anthem AV received (hooked to my Martin Logan speakers). It is allowing me to stream Qobuz in 24 bit quality.

Easy to Use

Chiaugchi11

The app is very easy to use, once you get the hang of it. The key is remembering that the yellow triangle in the lower right hand corner will always get you back to the main screen. I've got a Klipsch RSB-14 sound bar, two Definitive Technology W7 speakers for the wireless rear surrounds in my living room, a Martin Logan Bravado in the bedroom, and just picked up a Klipsch Three for the office. All of these products are connected to my Wi-Fi network and the Play-Fi app allows me to easily stream music from my iPhone / tablet or from Amazon Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Tidal, etc to all rooms. Play-Fi automatically synchronizes the audio. If I want to listen to 2 different songs in two different rooms (or groups of rooms), then I'll stream one song from my iPad and another from my iPhone using this app. Setting up all of theproduct using the app was extermely easy - because there is a built in tutorial that takes you thru each step. It could be easier if Apple would unlock their wi-fi access (Android is easier because of that) but c'est la vie. NOTE: Make sure you have your Wi-Fi password handly. Using the app, I can easily create groups of rooms for playback of audio, select songs and streaming services, adjust the volume and also see what my husband is playing in the office (usually metallica) and adjust the volume accordingly (he doesn't like that). Firmware updates are automatically provided via the app but on one of the products (the Klipsch Three), I have had some issues (I think it is the Klipsch product) -- on occaision I have to unplug the Klipsch Three from power and plug it back in before I can do a firmware update using the app. Overall this app is very good and easy to use.

Not so good

tgyus

Very poor update for apple. Android is more stable with many more practical features such as play next.

Garbage!!!

Genecreamer

This app shuts down in the middle of a song all the f’n time. If you have any other options, use them...
