Stop with the UPDATES!!!

Gtille1

Every Time you update the app. I have to unsync surroundsound and it screws everything up. Then I have to reset everything reset all speakers reset surround and spend time with helpdesk for hours. The only people who should buy Play-Fi are the technically advanced and the Extremely patient. The average Joe should STAY AWAY. When I die, my wife will have to throw away the whole System because she won’t even try to get it working. Especially after seeing what I’ve gone through. I have a NEW update just one week after a 2 hour session of fixing after last update. I can’t use the app until I agree to disconnect surround again. I don’t want to deal with that again for a while. I guess. I’ll just use this for surround sound for now until I feel like spending for time on techno troubleshooting and repair.

Want to pull my hair out

Effinseriously

Listening goes something like this: skip skip skip disconnect reconnect skip skip skip disconnect reconnect disconnect reconnect skip skip skip skip skip...... SO FRUSTRATING! It’s a THOUSAND DOLLAR SOUNDBAR that forces me to use this app to listen to music. $1,000!!! And as I’m typing this, the music goes out. Oh it’s back on now. Wait no... ok there it is again.

Why no Apple Music support?

Shirtles Joe

It’s ridiculous that the 2nd most popular music service in the world isn’t supported.

Disconnects are getting better. New other issues.

My biggest complaint is with SiriusXM. When listening to a show if I want to fast forward a song the option is not available.

Work great with Martin Logan Forte

Zen20004

It work great with my Martin Logan Forte amp. However, it is connected to my router with Ethernet cable. It connects to my LMS server via DLNA but that Play-Fi interface needs work and should include search function among other GUI features.

Disappointed

Duty12345

I used this app to interface with my McIntosh RS100. The app wouldn’t read the songs on my phone, listing them all as unsupported file formats. I tried deleting them and downloading them again from Apple. I also downloaded totally new music. I was disappointed to find the app doesn’t support streaming from iCloud/Apple Music either. In the end, I had to return the speaker since I couldn't listen to the majority of the music I own.

Apple Music Support

UserZero

Support of Apple Music is long, long overdue. If it’s not going to happen, let us know; so those of us patiently waiting can call our Play-Fi hardware purchase decision a bust and move on...

Stay away

A10.9

This is an absolute garbage app. Buy ANYTHING but playfi devices. Finicky and almost NEVER works. To manufacturers, use your influence and get DTS to actually fix this. It is making you like bad by association.

Mostly horrible

Eddies1980

Don’t waist your time and money, 1/10 of time it will work...use Sonos and save your self the heartache and frustration.

Unreliable

Spotify Connect has always been rock stable for me....until I began using it with PlayFi. Constant cutting in and out despite being hardwired on a managed gigabit network and 500mbit WAN. Media server can’t find DLNA server even though TV and laptop can. Will definitely avoid PlayFi when making future purchases.
