I was having problems which were resolved by turning on location services on my iPhone.

The idea is good, but to not have the capability to control the blinds when you are not at home is a joke. With WEMO, NEST, DROPCAM and a bunch of others, Hunter Douglas needs to step it up...

I spent $15,000 motorizing my shades so that I could use them with this app. Bottom line is that it DOES NOT work. Every time you operate one shade you have to exit the app and go back in before you can do anything! My repair person has been here every week, sometimes twice and he has finally thrown up his hands and recommended that I stick with their clunky remotes! Is this what you pay for? I would recommend you try Lutron app. I am using it with lighting and IT WORKS!

I read the reviews. I have no problems with my Platinum app to operate my Hunter Douglas shades. I have a patio door and one window shade. Set up was easy. My installer got it up and running in minutes. I handled the rest setting up timers and scenes. No problem so far. Timer feature is great. They close in the evening and open in the morning. A bit pricey for the motorized feature but I love it.
UPDATE NEEDED

This app NEEDS an update. I have 4 shades that are controlled by this app and only one works all the time. Another works 50% of the time. The third is hit or miss and the 4th can only be controlled by the system remote at best. All are less than 10 feet from the router and 5ft from an optional repeater. For what I paid this app should work at least 75% of the time.

Doesn't know shade positions when it connects, and will not operate shades half the time. I program my own scripts for most of my home automation and can verify this system is substandard. I would be upset if this was a one dollar app, but am furious after spending tens of thousands of dollars on this system. Steer clear at all costs!

Very poor app. It's amazing that in this day and age a company like Hunter Douglas would have their name associated with such a poor app. I have yet to successfully program a scene. It also hangs up.

This app works well when it connects but frequently doesn't make the wireless connection.
