The app fails to recognize the brush. Even after troubleshooting complete waste of money.

Spatial location seems to be off as the brush does not always recognize where it is in relation to where the app thinks it is. Also, the seven (7) day progress report does not work. I can see the daily but no weekly progress report.

Five stars for the concept of direct feedback for “coaching technique.” One star for reliability. Do the App developers even use this thing? After uneven usability, now totally unusable. Can’t connect. Finicky when toothbrush engaged vs starting app. Phillips needs to recognize with such apps, the product eco system is now both. As such the app poorly reflects on the Sonicare brand. Ie: chincing on getting a real app developer hurts brand image, value, repeat business. Hopefully won’t be a hard lesson.

When the app works it’s wonderful. However, it doesn’t work 50% of the time. It either doesn’t track to the motions on your teeth or the timer doesn’t work. Please fix this, it’s so annoying. For a while it seemed to improve but today, for example, I never could get it to work no matter how many times I reset it. So frustrating!

The app features are very useful. However, if you have more than one person using the same Sonicare, the app cannot tell who is using it. It adds data from other users, so its never accurate.

Since last update the application cannot find toothbrush. Can’t synchronize phone to application.

The recent update messed it up. The app now takes longer to detect the handle or doesn’t detect it at all, and crashes often. The timer for the first area starts counting down from 1:56 rather than 2:00. The timer and the circles that get filled are asynchronous. For the Gum attachment, there is no Touch Up option offered (when yellow areas remain). Having a blue hyperlink “Brush” on a blue background is just poor design. They should fire the person who selected this combination. Sad to see such an app from a reputable company. The real-time feedback is the main feature so it is not unreasonable to expect a fully functioning app (given the high price tag).

I never know if this app is going to work when I brush my teeth in the morning and at night. I open the app and five seconds later it closes on its own or I open the app and tap brush and it tells me to turn on my handle. I turn the handle on and nothing happens. I do this several times and then I give up, so I end up brushing my teeth without the use of the app. This happens about every other day. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app hoping that would make a difference, but it doesn’t. Another problem with this toothbrush is it comes with a smart brush but you cannot get a smart brush replacement. I have not been very happy with the support tech. they tell me to update but there is no update. For such an expensive toothbrush you would think that the app would work better than it does and that purchasing a smart brush would be easy. Only thing I like about this toothbrush is that it does help you brush your teeth correctly when the app works.
