Inconsistent Functionality

This is a terrible app. It works Inconsistently. Sometimes it just cuts out in the middle of brushing or it just fails to record the session. Worst of all when you need help you can never get anyone from the company to respond. Just automated emails. Very disappointing service.

Love the brush, hate the app

Every week I hope that I’ll actually get a progress report on my dashboard....and I’m disappointed every week. Not sure how to solve it so just resigned myself to not ever getting one.

Bad to worse.

I’ve had this toothbrush and app for a couple of years. In the very beginning, it worked perfectly. Then a year or so ago, an update and it refused to connect to my toothbrush. Tech support was useless. Finally found out on my own that if you have it installed (app doesn’t have to be open) on more than one IOS devise, it randomly links to one device, even though that device maybe in another room, instead of the one you want to use. It uses Bluetooth and evidently can only connect to one device at a time and cannot tell which device the app is open on. The cumbersome solution is to turn Bluetooth off on the devices you don’t want to use and then it usually connects to the one you want to use. Then a couple of months ago a new update with added “functionality”. Now the app crashes daily on the first try and then VERY slowly opens and usually connects on the second try. I would not recommend this app and there is no reason to spend the extra money on this app enabled brush as the app is barely functional currently. Does not seem to get much attention from Phillips and probably just used as a gimmick to sell overpriced toothbrushes.

crash and cannot open

lrcray

crashed when I open the app

Creepy

Sintactic

Nosy much? I bought a $280 toothbrush and I can’t access it at all in the app until I agree to share my personal information with Philips? You’ve got to be kidding me.

Seldom works

The app is junk Don’t waste your time It has no clue where you are brushing Can’t connect to the toothbrush even if it’s inches apart If it does connect it will disconnect during brushing Very expensive piece of junk

Might have been useful if didn't crash every time

pugetmarco

FAIL: This app might have been useful but for the fact it crashes every time I launch it

Don't buy this product

Honestly, I wish I'd never bought this toothbrush. It's simply not worth it. At least half the time the app doesn't recognize where I'm brushing. In addition, often the app won't countdown the time correctly. It will sit at 2:00 and then after a while jump to 1:32 without having counted down. After it goes through the complete cycle, I'll turn off the brush and it will think that I haven't brushed. I would strongly discourage anyone from getting this toothbrush. Heed my warning, you will regret buying this. I wish I'd stuck with my older Phillips Sonicare brush. Total waste.
