Time Travel

This device does not recognize your brushing history from one time zone to another, even if it’s just one time zone forward or backwards. It gets worse when you travel overseas. This should be an easy fix. Or why track it all?

2nd one

My first Sonicare toothbrush lasted 15 years and is still going, but with a new owner. My daughter never experienced a cavity in 15 years of owning hers ( mine went to her husband when I bought this one). I wanted the one that connects to the app this time as I wanted more guidance in brushing.I got one with a sanitizer, as I did with the one from 15 years ago. I seem move around the country a lot, and for a while I tried another top brand toothbrush after loosing my charger for my old Sonicare, I though it was a “sign”. I was so wrong. My teeth had gotten so bad, the gums receding and bad breath. Stuff seemed to gravitate to my gum line so after brushing, I would scrape my gum line with a toothpick. I didn’t know where I was going wrong. My mouth never felt fresh for more than 10 minutes after brushing. I have a graveyard of different toothpastes in my drawer thinking that was it. I had to come back to Sonicare. In addition, I purchased the Ultra AirFlosser that came with the Sonicare BreathRX mouth wash. In just 4 days of using my new arsenal of products I saw the difference in my gums. Within a week my teeth got whiter too. Gunk didn’t gravitate to my gums. My tongue had always a bit white. I thought it was normal. I got a tongue cleaning brush head with the Sonicare BreathRX tongue spray. Now my breath is fresh for HOURS after my routine. I learned a lot about my brushing: I moved my brush around too much, I used too much pressure, there were places I wasn’t spending enough time cleaning. I had to clean my tongue. I am so happy now and I feel so much better. I feel like my teeth are actually repairing. Wish now I had bought the one with the rose- gold trim to match my Philips VisaPure Advanced face cleaning system. Hey, if Philips can work wonders with my teeth, gums, and tongue why stop there? Let’s see what they can do with my skin. Why 4 stars then? I struggle a bit with the app. When you finish the brushing, it asks if you flossed, rinsed, and scrapped (tongue). When I start my brush handle to clean my tongue, it starts a new brushing session. Then it looks like a did a brushing session without brushing anything. It keeps track of these things, I don’t know how to edit. Also, I read that I should do the flosser first, so I feel it is reminding me to do things out of turn. But oral health-wise, I could not possibly expect more. My mouth is so happy.

Good Idea, Poor Execution

Mickey-1

This app works correctly about two-thirds of the time and it’s analysis statistics are generally confusing. The best aspect of this app is that you brush conscientiously for 2 minutes, 40 decoy.

Gave up and deleted it

Final Update: With the latest update, the app now sporadically may or may not connect with my Toothbrush without turning the Bluetooth off and back on. This is on an iPad 11 running the latest update of IOS 13. Don’t need technical difficulties when all I want to do is brush my teeth. Gave up after several years of frustration and fussing with this app. Deleted it. Update: While they recently updated the app with more functionality, all of it is useless if you can’t connect to the handle. I seem to be fine most if the time if I stick with one device (iPad). However, occasionally I prefer to use my iPhone, especially when traveling. Forget it about it. The handle refuses to work with more than one device. It absolutely will no longer connect to my iPhone, even if I turn the Bluetooth off on the iPad (if it is within range the handle can’t seem to tell which device has the app open and will connect to it even though it’s in another room without the app open). Still surprised that Philips cannot get something as simple as Bluetooth to work properly. Would never buy this brush again. I’ve had this toothbrush and app for a couple of years. In the very beginning, it worked perfectly. Then a year or so ago, an update and it refused to connect to my toothbrush. Tech support was useless. Finally found out on my own that if you have it installed (app doesn’t have to be open) on more than one IOS devise, it randomly links to one device, even though that device maybe in another room, instead of the one you want to use. It uses Bluetooth and evidently can only connect to one device at a time and cannot tell which device the app is open on. The cumbersome solution is to turn Bluetooth off on the devices you don’t want to use and then it usually connects to the one you want to use. Then a couple of months ago a new update with added “functionality”. Now the app crashes daily on the first try and then VERY slowly opens and usually connects on the second try. I would not recommend this app and there is no reason to spend the extra money on this app enabled brush as the app is barely functional currently. Does not seem to get much attention from Phillips and probably just used as a gimmick to sell overpriced toothbrushes.

Sign in with Apple

VirPulcher

When will the app be supporting Sign in with Apple? Now that the app requires log in to use it... that option is a must

Touch up missing!

Doug Wang

Touch up option after session ended is gone. That’s a very important feature for me

Issues with current version

giannigabriel

Current version wont let me log in or even not allow my data to be shared.

Good effort, no health app

Great Oden's Raven

The app is a good effort overall but: - it misses recording sessions regularly. The only way to guarantee a record is to open the app and hit brush - health kit (Apple heath) integration is missing. None of your brushing is available in the health app

Data grab and privacy intrusion

ATTORNEY A

Not clear why the user is required to share brushing data with Philips just to keep a record of his or her brushing. This app is consequently not worth the privacy intrusion. There is no indication whether time and/or location of brushing are collected.

Why is this crashing?

Yeeb FR

This app is currently crashing and freezing during brushing on my 8+ iOS 13.
