I really like this annotator. The interface is amazing and it saves to original files, quite well, but I’m giving it four stars because it times out and stops responding, often. It’s really frustrating, but I like that it opens files without creating a new file and saves annotations flawlessly.

This is an amazing app but it crashes when I try to open documents larger than 300M.

This app is almost perfect but it’s missing my #1 feature, which is a view mode that crops margins. Many PDFs are readable on an iPad Mini with margin cropping, unusable without it. I don’t want to edit the file, just read it

This app really fits a niche that I needed to teaching. I am able to pull up the grading documents and annotate on them as I grade papers. However, recently there have been some glitches where when I annotate the text I’m writing near is overwritten with white boxes, so I lose all the typed text in the document. I have been using this app for a year and this is the first issue I have had.

Just updated the app and went in and saw all the files i needed were deleted. I can’t find it anywhere and needed them urgently because i have an exam in 2 days.

All of my files - integral to my research - have disappeared as of the last update. I am VERY upset: I had really liked and relied on this app and now I am in a real bind as everything seems to have vanished.

After update, it is smooth and fast to respond. The app provides two page view and integrated file management with the system. Things to improve could be adding support for double tap on Apple Pencil 2, and a fast tool dial as the toolbar is only fixed to two positions.

The free version of this app is excellent and deserves five stars. I use it every day, and particularly love the dark mode and markup features with the Apple Pencil -- these make the app far superior to Apple Preview. My issue is with the Pro version, which I bought exclusively to use the redaction feature. Please note: This is ***not true redaction***. The redacted text is still visible in a text search of the PDF, and can still be copy/pasted into a text file even after it is redacted and covered with overlay text several times. Feels deceptive to advertise redaction as a Pro feature. This is NOT the true redaction you get with (the much more expensive) Adobe Acrobat Pro.
