Unfortunately Useless

The design of the app is beautiful, however, I spent 2 hours annotating 25 pages of a PDF only to lose all but my first and final page of annotations. Not sure how, or why, since I did them in chronological order (so the last page of annotations should be missing too, right?), but the app has now completely lost my trust since it screwed me over right before a class discussion. Maybe they’ll fix this giant glitch but currently the app is not worth even the free price of it if you’re using this for anything important, where it could hurt you to lose your data.

I rarely write reviews but make exceptions for exceptional apps. This is easily the best free PDF app I’ve tried and I’ve tried just about all of them. It does pretty much everything I need and has a simple, out of the way, interface. I have only two issues with it. The first is that opening new documents can be a bit clunky and the second is that the Apple Pencil support is rather basic. However, since it’s a totally free app, not even ad supported, I will happily accept these “limitations.”

It’s great and it’s free. Couldn’t ask for more. Issues: 1. Changing the text colour inside a text box (from the keyboard) brings up the window for a second after which it spontaneously disappears. Piece of cake for the likes of Flash and maybe even that blue hedgehog, but the average human will struggle. 2. Something is seriously broken with the page transition set to “jump”. It becomes impossible to scroll to any page by swiping which teleports you to the first page of the document. Only solution to use the navigation widget at the bottom. All in all, a solid app. Thank you for your efforts and best of luck.

Keeps corrupting IMPORTANT files

I am military and have to fill out forms frequently for me and others, this app is great for doing that when I don’t have a computer where I am. Recently when I am typing in responses in entry fields the app freezes and corrupts the file and is no longer openable. I have had various important files corrupted and have to re-do them which often takes a long time.

New version of app hard to use for reading

When reading a book, i would prefer scrolling to stay in one direction. In this new version of app, with a small touch, the scroll function is so senstive, document will scroll in all directions, like a floating object. This makes the reading experience not as good as before.

Provides just about all the great functions a paid PDF app would for free and without ads!

The stylus writing for apple pencil isn’t nearly as precise as the Apple Notes app, and there is no pencil and pressure based texture available, that is my only complaint.
