Long time PayPal customer-will terminate acct soon

The App (iPhone if it matters) is crap. My main reason leaving this credit card is the fact that something called “world purchases” (I live in Texas and went to New Orleans for 3 days) are not posted to the app for WEEKS. Do you know how frustrating and old world that is? I pay my bills of MONTHLY, and only started using PayPal over Capital One for a few weeks for their temporary incentives during this season. (BTW, Cap 1 app and EVERYTHING about them is superior imo) But when I make hundreds of dollars worth of purchases, I expect to be able to track my card activity in real time (minus holidays, weekends, etc..) but NOT have to wait weeks to see if fraud happened because it was dated due to “world purchases”. If anything it should be expedited BECAUSE it’s out of area. The APP also links you to the actual website for payment INSTEAD of being able to do it all within the App. Disputes are harder to claim, fraud activity is more difficult to prove, and over all responsibility and accountability is frustrating when there’s such a lack of even average tech available that seemingly ALL other credit card customers have. No changes by January, and I’m out.

I can’t even convey how much I had to go through to change my phone number with this app, and the website itself. Difficulty logging in requires calling PayPal. They don’t have anyone available after hours. They wanted to send texts to my old phone number to confirm it was me. Everything wants your phone number for security. You get locked out and have to call; email alone isn’t good enough. So angry with this app. On the bright side; the customer service people are helpful and polite but the system itself is terrible.

When I my first made my account my transfer to debit card went in review for 24 hours which is ok and understandable considering my account was brand new. Then I did a few other transfers to my card with no issues. Now all of the sudden it's making my latest transfer be in review for 72 hours. I don't understand why considering they verified everything and had no issues with the other past transactions. I needed this money (over $100) to pay a couple bills so this is putting me in a bad position. Called with no help. No reason as to why and no estimate on when I would receive the money. Tired of PayPal holding my money with no valid reason especially when they can't give me a reason when I call for more information.

My funds went to wrong payee. My fault typo, but I called immediately. But Paypal said because I sent it to a friend they would not refund or even notify the recipient to refund the money! I was just out $120, because the person did not respond to my request to return my money. Paypal refused to even send a letter to the person.

Does the job. Make paying personal payments as easy as other payment systems and is free. One star deduction because it does not offer the same consumer benefits and protections as those of a credit cards.
