Direct support is best

Lexicon6

It is best for consumers to directly support content creators, and Patreon facilitates this. I always wanted to be a “patron of the arts”, but I’m not wealthy, but with Patreon and the power of the Internet and crowds, we can all contribute a little and it adds up to a lot. I like how there are bonuses at various levels.

Too many taps, not enough features

EDIT April 7th: Finally went ahead and logged in on Safari just so I could schedule posts and have a combined feed again. Patreon as a platform is great. Just, guys, your app needs a lot of work to make it truly usable. In the app, anytime I add a tag in my post, it adds a bunch of <br> tags in my post, squishes my text into one big paragraph, and if I don't delete the extra HTML, it will post in one big paragraph, <br> tags and all. This major bug has yet to be fixed... (Original review below) It takes more work to go back and forth to various creators' pages and then tap on their posts to see them, which dissuades me from looking. I assume the idea is to entice followers to become patrons, since the big "become a patron" button takes up a large portion of the screen (using an iPhone SE). Therefore, I would suggest to instead bring back the combined feed AND show the patron-only posts with blurred-out images that creators post. To me, that is far more motivating because I can literally see that I am missing something by not being a patron. As it is, both in the old app and on the website, the combined feed only shows public posts. But some creators never post public posts, which makes me feel disconnected, and also is a drawback for me as a creator, because if most of my followers and casual browsers who haven't joined the site only see my posts through the app or desktop feed, they will never see when I post a patron-only post (though followers may get an email, I guess).

No Apple Pay support

PayPal? Get out of here. Add Apple Pay support so that I can securely and privately support my favorite creators- I don’t need eBay and PayPal spying on me.

Worthless

Says my email address is taken but when I try to reset my password it says email is not registered. When I could log in my pledge pages don't load correctly.

Watch What Crappens rules!

Pip perry

Thank you for creating a platform for Watch What Crappens! Are their other shoes on patreon? Maybe, but only WWC matters❤️

Good but needs work

h3nrch

The new Lens feature needs a separate notification toggle in Settings. I don’t need to see these updates. Need a feed of chronological posts like in the old app and on the website. Need sorting of creators in the left side revealed creator list (Alphabetically, By Most Recently Subscribed, By Most Recently Updated, By Unread, By Recommended (algorithmic), etc)

Thanks Heather?

Love the Show! What a Treat to listen at work, home or in the car??

Video Playback is horrible.

Lostngone

On AT&T with LTE video playback is almost nonexistent. Takes FOREVER to load a video. I could chalk it up to poor network performance but speed tests always show good performance(~15 Mbit or better) and if I load the video in the YouTube app it has no problems playing... PLEASE FIX!

Great service would benefit from better analytics and stronger search.

Cyraen

Great service but need better analytics, especially for geolocation of traffic and for older posts. Also need more detailed search results that don’t just favor the bigger Patreon accounts. Little guys need help getting started and are getting shut out by searches that favor top earners.
