Logs you out every day

antititus

Literally every day this app requires you to log in again. Patreon made some big security mistakes in the past, letting customer data get exposed to prying eyes despite warnings by security experts. Their remedy seems worse than the illness - making people log in daily doesn’t make the app or platform any more secure, it just makes it annoying.

It’s OK

Patreon definitely needs to up their iPad game because it has such a poor use of screen real estate. This is fine for iPhones, but not iPads. I also think the UI needs some more work in areas like messages, and comments. I find it especially odd that comments don’t have any time stamps, and that certain actions/buttons are buried within the ellipses icon in the top right corner. Navigation also seems cumbersome. The app has been getting slowly better over the years, but it still has a long way to go...

Subpar

The app sometimes doesn’t display all the content from creators. I follow a certain creator who posts a weekly schedule so followers know what to expect and when. Sometimes, it will look like the creator didn’t post anything on a day the creator said they would, however, the truth simply is the app is not displaying all the content. If I switch over to safari and pull up patreon, the video is, in fact, there. It just won’t show up on the app. And, just for the sake of clarity, I do not follow NSFW content crerators so this issue isn’t about filtering or censoring adult content. It’s just that the app is broken. I’ve had this issue since I installed the app last year, but it just seems to be getting worse with time. Sometimes I’ll be able to watch a video from the content creator on the app and then I will come back to the app days later and I can no longer find the video. It is as though the video never existed. I go to safari and it’s still there.

Buggiest app I have on my phone

_johncarlo

Various bugs make this awful to use. – when I continue an episode, it moves the timer back so I have to spend time figuring out where I left off. This happens a majority of the time. – many times, the app breaks the lock screen’s pause/play functionality, not only for Patreon but for all other apps. I have to reset my phone to fix this. – the download meter fills up a quarter before it has even downloaded anything, probably done on purpose but frustrating nonetheless.

Almost great

Palstead

I love the idea of being able to support my fave show but the website doesn’t always work as expected. I have been unable to leave comments on my creator ‘s pages, also the Lens feature seems glitchy. But as long as they keep improving, I’ll be satisfied.

Love the idea but this app is trash

Pykachu10

1) App seems pretty slow usually, is it a web app? 2) Once you’ve patreoned someone, it’s impossible for you to discover any other creators. You’re only option is to search for someone by name. They really need to show you things you might like or even let you browse stuff by category. I saw the browse originally but once you sign up it’s impossible to get to again. 3) Two words, Apple Pay, I can’t believe it’s 2018 and we’re still typing 20 digit numbers into your app. It shouldn’t be this hard for someone to donate a few bucks.

Great app but could be better.

ShuInoriEgoistManaTritonOuma

As title state. Its great but could be better. Its hard to find content creators you want but doesnt show up on the app, and have to login through a different means a follow them that way to be a patron of the creator you wanted.

Good app, but need some improvements

Great master sexy

The app is quite good, but when I click the pictures especially the pictures that can move (animated) got paused!!!! Please fix this issue. Thank you.
