App disabled by child

Fast-Murray

My child (13) found out how to disable Our Pact through device management settings. If your child has device password control, this app can be easily disabled.

Awesome app if you can manage to install it

adesalos

It works well and gives the parent a lot of control. I would change 2 things: 1. Make it easier for the kids to pause their time without going into the app. My kids lose all their time sometimes because they forget to pause it. 2. Make it easier to install. It’s pretty tricky to get it installed.

Need phone support!

The pairing process is slow, tedious, and buggy. It worked fine for one device, but not for the other. The only customer support is via email, and I just keep repeating myself because they don’t even read it thoroughly. The concept is great, but the set-up hassle is harder than just policing it myself.

It just doesn’t work

RalfieMalfie

Two months of frustration. It just doesn’t work. It doesn’t limit my daughter’s apps, it doesn’t restrict time during the school hours I set up, it doesn’t limit it to the hours I set up. Support is non-existent. Only responses I ever got were canned scripts straight out of the online documentation. We have up-to-date iOS phones and this app does nothing what I was paying for.

Good app

I like the interface of this app. However, it scrambles all of the apps on my children’s phones and “deletes“ pictures. You have to go in somewhere in the settings to recall the pictures back when they appear to be deleted.

Can’t install on kids iPhone

Jesster1

Tried the premium subscription as I wanted to control screen time. Spent 3 hrs trying to follow their instructions on installing the app into my child’s phone. Restore failed every time. Forgot to cancel the subscription right away so I wasted $7 on a worthless subscription. Apple completely fails with parental control capabilities. Trying to delegate something that should be a core feature of the product to a thins party app like this is s joke.

Its ok.. has a lot of bugs though

Jsjsjtttttttttttttttttttttttt

I have had OurPact for a while now. I have premium but WHY DO MY KIDS HATE ME FOR USING THIS? I would have rated more than this but there are a lot of bugs you can work on. One of them is that for premium, can you make it more convenient to use and not use wifi every time? Sometimes when my kids are being bad and wont get off the iPads i try to take the apps off but it does not work sometimes because i usually dont have a lot of good wifi or service.

When it works, it is great

Took a lot to get it to work, and I consider myself comfortable with tech. Like as in 2 hours! Okay, it worked well for a couple of day but then when I enabled it manually it wouldn’t revert back to scheduled block. I tried resetting my iPhone and trying again, nothing. So I was manually enabling and disabling it. And that is not the reason I got the app. I want to set it and forget it. Also, you can’t have set different schedules for different days. They programmed it from the perspective of time chunks (like, homework time) versus weekly schedule. So at homework time you have to in and enable that schedule. Instead of programming the week all at once...m-f screen between 7-9 pm and then on weekends it can extend to 10 pm. Had to pay to be able to manage apps, which was really important to me. Now, I’ve cancelled it. I am not interested in babysitting this app, thanks.

The Worst

maddie ✌?️✌?

My mom found out about this app a year ago and it has been terrible. I has left little trust between me and my parents and I can’t even think about the app without wanting to pull out my hair. It makes you organize the apps in the Jr app but I shouldn’t have to organize it when I am being forced to do this. My mom now will block me for no reason. I am a teen and I will make mistakes but I need to be able to learn from my mistakes. Me and mom relationship lately has been terrible and I can’t do this anymore.

Ok if all you need to do is...

Melikarhodes

It is would be a ok app if all you needed to do was monitor how long they are on the internet. But seeing texts and where they go on the internet and what they are doing is much more important than time.
