**UPDATE** - for people having problems with the paid (subscription) app, here's some info from customer service that helped me: "Sometimes old data can get stuck on a device, even after an update, and that's what it seems might have happened here. Logging out of PaperKarma will clear your stored subscription data (which is incorrect) and logging back in will gather the updated, correct information. To log out tap the Profile tab, then tap Log Out in the upper navigation bar. Please try logging out then logging back in." ------- (Previous review): I've been using this app for over a year now, and although I was initially suspicious about whether it'd work - I'm happy to say it actually does. My junk mail has been reduced to almost nil in that time. I've even used it to stop receiving junk mail for all the previous tenants! Glad I took a chance on it, now I'm happily spreading the word to my friends -- fun and easy to use, and actually works.

When this was a free app, it worked beautifully. Since purchasing an annual subscription for $10.61 on Jan. 16, I see only a subscription page when I try to submit a request. This is unacceptable. I emailed support but have received no response.

So I have been using the app for a couple years now after a friend recommended it. Happy overall and yes the amount of junk mail is reduced: it takes some times depending on the sender but looking at my history, I can see that junk mailer that were sending on regular basis are now stopped. So why just 4 stars instead of 5: not sure which update of the app broke it but the restore purchase and subscription purchase is busted if you have been a long time user like me. The proper workaround is to fully logout and log back in... Lame and you will expect they will fix such bug... It has been like that for weeks now and you can see all the complains about it, thus the 1 star drop.

Worked well until it didn't. I paid my $9.99 and a few months later I'm asked to resubscribe in order to continue using the app.

Wish they would have put in ads to generate income instead of requiring a monthly fee to use this app. Will be deleting...

Was a fine app until they got greedy. I will gladly spend 30 seconds to toss junk mail in the trash can, thank you very much!

Well, it remembers that I have a subscription again. Now it just forgot the entire history of EVERY unsubscribe request I've submitted over the last 18 months. Please, hire a new developer. Preferably someone who tested their app.

I've been using this app since it first came out and I've been promoting it as well. I loved it. Today I go to use it and it needs me to log-on again. Huh? Never had to do that before but oh well I give it a try. It doesn't recognize either of my email addresses the only two I have. So I can't even get it to send me a forget password email. Then I looked desperately for I hope function both on the app and on the website. Nothing no contact no help nothing. Reading the other reviews here it seems like they're trying to get me to sign onto a paid version. Honestly I would be happy to pay for the service. But I'm not happy to pay for the service if it doesn't recognize me as ever being a customer before. So like the others have said, I'll just go back to throwing my junk mail into the recycling bin. If you want to get me back explain to me what's going on on the opening screen. Give me a method to contact you so I can ask questions. Also I'm really frustrated that all of my old requests have just disappeared.

I put this on my new phone and found out you have no choice but to pay a monthly fee?? Like how do we even know if it's going to charity? 5% I have a shredder that works just as well thank you and a recycling bin. I think Karma should donate it all to planting trees if they're going to do that. Or just make us pay a one time fee and donate more to saving trees.

If your past submissions disappeared after updating, uninstall the app, then go to the App Store and reinstall the app. Fixed my issue and all of my previous submissions were restored.
