Doesn't work very well, now $2/month

Truly amazing results

I've had PaperKarma for a couple of years and the effect on my mailbox is nothing short of astonishing. We get practically zero junk mail. I have turned a number of friends onto this service and every one has come back and thanked me. It's easy to use, fast and quite efficient. My elderly aunt recently started needing my help and I when I started picking up her mail, I was floored by the amount of junk mail -- mostly solicitations from so called veterans/homeless/needy/religious/whatever groups were bombarding her. I just submitted over 200 stop requests with PaperKarma and the app steadily works through them all. Very, very satisfied. The fee is a bargain.

Doesn't work. Heaps of mail. Terrible support.

Twice they've had to fix a connection issue that wouldn't allow me to use the app BUT they continued to charge me! When I asked for a refund on the months it did not work, they gave me two extra months "for free." ? Not free if I paid for it. I started this six months ago (at least) and still get at least 10 pieces of mail a day, TONS of credit cards. Basically, it doesn't work and they just continually charge you even if it doesn't work. I've cancelled my subscription and I am deleting now! Terrible waste of money.

Successful...at first

Have been using PaperKarma since 2012. They were able to unsubscribe me from nearly every junk item I receive. I used it enough (2x/day on average) to justify even paying a one time fee of ~$25 to continue using it (for what I thought was) indefinitely. Now I log in and get directed to a $1.99/month subscription. Absolutely not. I'm fed up.

Still works for me

Has been free for years; now charging a couple of bucks a month. This is a service in which someone contacts companies on your behalf to stop junk mail and reduce the use of unnecessary paper. I'm okay with paying literally $2/Mo so I don't have to make those calls. Service still works for me.

Offer different payment plans

Alarmed Reviewer

Downloaded PaperKharma two or three years ago when it was free. I admire the service and want to support pre-cycling, unlike cheapskates who don't understand that people save trees not by recycling, but by stopping the mail in the first place. But a monthly plan, while easier to manage, is a disconnect in its mission. Instead, set up an alternate plan where people pay X amount per letter (a nickel? A dime?) or per day ($5?), then people will figure out whether monthly is actually most cost-effective. I'd be willing to pay for a one-time or per-unit charge.

Disappointed

I've been using it for a while with no real drop in junk mail, I've reported the same companies over and over for months with no results.

Long-time user, not paying $2/mo

Not that $2 is that much — and I'd pay that for the app itself. But I don't use the service so often that I'll now pay monthly for a service I've used free for years. Might feel differently if the change to paid was handled appropriately with long-time subscribers, but the rollout was a big fail. Also don't appreciate the bait-and-switch: only after I used my "three free trials" did I see the $1.99 would be a *monthly* charge. Uninstalling, which saddens me. I appreciate the goal; the business side has been badly handled.

Was once good

Seemed to get rid of some junk mail but not all. I might be willing to pay $1.99 through the App Store for one year but not two dollars a month. Goodbye paper karma

Disappointed, too!

I have been using Paperkarma a couple of years ago and raved about it to friends and family. I really did see great results in decrreasing my junk mail. I have sent emails to customer service without a response:( trying to understand the changes, but have not had a response. I'd pay a yearly fee, but really disappointed in how this is being handled and I am not the only having issues with this app. I too, will delete the app and resort to tossing junk mail in the recycle bin.
