PaperKarma is the easiest way to cut your paper waste — by taking photos! Simply pull out your phone and snap photos of the offending mail. PaperKarma will figure out what it is and how to stop it.

Our system is simple. We've built a massive database of company information. When we identify your photo, we use this information to instantly submit a request on your behalf. If we don't know about the company already, our database discovers what we need to know automatically.

Features:
• If a company is sending you unwanted mail, we’ll find them and remove your name/address from their mailing list.
• It’s dead simple to use — just take a photo, tap Unsubscribe, and you’re set!
• Track the mail you’ve submitted, and watch as PaperKarma identifies and eliminates it.
• Learn what information PaperKarma finds about the senders.
• Watch as your paper waste goes down month by month.

A Godsend!
Lucky You!

I just started using this app about 2 weeks ago and am already receiving less catalogs. This is fantastic!!!

Me too; it used to work great but now it's a ripoff

Don't wast your time on this. Just recycle, or call the magazines that you don't want.

Junk Mail Still Keeps Coming - Even After Paying
Sumocomputers2

I used it for free, and it was better than nothing. Paid for a year, and almost everything I submit gets into Failed or Pending. Subscription ended and will not renew. Avoid.

Was good -- now $1.99 per month

When I used the service it was free. Now they charge a lot. I will be unsubscribing.

Bug when viewing past requests?

I'm militant about people not sending me junk mail, so unlike most people here, I'm actually ok with paying $2/month for this. (Although if I'm paying, it'd be cool for some of my old pending requests to actually get into the system -- right now they "haven't been requested by enough people"). And as for people questioning whether this works -- it depends on the mail you get. I already took care of the low-hanging fruit before getting this app, so I've had mediocre success with the requests I've made. It has reduced my mail somewhat though, and really, if these companies can't figure out that I don't want mail, then congrats to them, here's one more email from PaperKarma on my behalf in their inboxes each month. Maybe someday we'll reach critical mass and they'll get sick of getting 3k PaperKarma requests each month and just give us an easy way to opt ourselves out. My issue and the reason for writing this (and why I knocked a star off the score) is that whenever I click on an older processed request, the page never actually loads. It gives me the spinny circle of doom and acts like it wants to load but never does. This doesn't really affect future requests I make, but I like being able to go back and see the details in old requests.

lame!
PS mum

I am willing to pay for something that actually works...this does not.

Paper Karma now charging $1.99 month...FOR WHAT?
Simplicity2013

I've been using Paper Karma for years...since their services were completely free. Today I tried to enter a piece of junk mail and was vaguely informed that there is now a $1.99 renewing fee to use their app. $1.99...a month...annually? Who knows - there is no detailed explanation. However, there is a wonderful paragraph that they will donate 5 PERCENT of your payment (10 cents) to support growing trees. WOW...their generosity is underwhelming! O.K. - here is the truth of the matter. IF the services provided worked well and the junk mail stopped coming, it might be worth the $24.00 annual investment. Unfortunately, it doesn't work more frequently than it does. I'm still receiving junk mail that I requested Paper Karma stop THREE years ago. Secondly, if it's a local company sending the mail that Paper Karma can't identify (which most of one's mail usually is), they are unable to get your name removed from that particular mailing list. And finally, there are the submissions they just plain get wrong because they can't find/identify the company sending the junk mail. Truth be told, SOME of my mail has stopped coming - mostly catalogues from larger retailers such as LL Bean or J Crew. However, I've since learned that a phone call to any company's customer service number can often achieve the same result in getting your name removed from their mailing list. I guess it all comes down to your personal preference. If it's worth $1.99/month to you to MAYBE have your junk mail stop coming, I'm sure Paper Karma will be delighted for your business. Or, you can pick up the phone, try and do it yourself, and donate that ENTIRE $1.99 to help plant those trees! Happy shredding!

1 out of 3 is not good
Misslisajo

It's not good enough to PAY for. And how on earth does one interpret "University of North Texas" as "Cox Communications"? Total fail. Move along, nothing to see here.

Fall from greatness
chainedlightning

I used to love this app. I would put all sorts of junk mail in there, and they would stop the mail from coming. Five stars. Haven't used it in a few months, went to log back in, it asked me to reset my password. OK, so I did that. Then when I get in, they told me that there's a price to pay for it now. I'm sorry but I'm not paying $24 a year for the service. It was great while it was free, it's not worth it to pay for it. I'll just keep putting the junk mail in the recycle bin. Sorry to see such a great app go downhill.

Good, but now they charge!
Hmt90a

I loved this app, until they started charging to unsubscribe you. You are required to pay at least $1.99/month for this now. ☹️
