Almost perfect!

I went on the search for this game after playing the board game. This is right on target for game play, but it would be nice to let players play from multiple devices. Some kind of online functionality would take this amazing game over the top.

Introductory level??

fergshopper

I have never played this game before, but I play a lot of board games. After 10 games, I still haven’t won. I am not sure what is easier about the introductory level, but my guess is nothing. There should be less Epidemic cards on the easier level if you are trying to get used to the game.

PERFECT APP AND BOARD GAME!

This is by far my most favorite game app and all time favorite board game. I love the co-op nature of the game that allows everyone to live or die together. The graphics and gameplay are true to the board game and plays so much quicker than the board game with the AI shuffling and distributing cards, executing rules, providing a helpful tutorial for newbies. The game makes me and my iPad happy.

Broken - Only shows black screen on iPad

Downloaded Pandemic on my 6th gen iPad. Every time I open it it only shows a black screen and plays the intro music. Tried reinstalling multiple times.

I love this game

The “On The Brink” expansion is a fantastic addition! I am eagerly awaiting when they add the other expansions. Any chance for app versions of Pandemic: Iberia or the other Pandemic games?

Great implementation of the Board Game

I have just the basic addition, so I can’t comment on the extensions. I played the physical game once then bought this game. I read the rules, and the guide that comes up while you play makes it really easy to learn. (When you start the game you chose your team, difficulty and “Info Mode” for the person who forgot how to turn this off) You have to plan your moves ahead, to the extent that you can, and realize just about every country just infected will be in again about 5 turns after an epidemic., I find keeping the infection under control usually works best, even if it means racing around the board to do so, and putting off turning cards until the end. I am still playing this allot a couple of years now. It lets u retract a move up until you draw cards. Unless you exit the game mid turn. This might make u relax , but it doesn’t let u always retract plays of say air card as it goes right into infection. Also it lets u play shuffle card before the epidemic cards have been returned to the deck, which in almost all cases would be a complete waste. Still any retraction option is very nice. There is a small bug where the player info panel on the right does not display. I used to shut down my iPad to fix this but found if u exit the game not the app, and resume it fixes this.

This game is solid

My biggest gripe though is that at home, this is a 2+ player game meaning I need more than just myself to play. On this platform I don’t even have the option of playing with somebody else. Other than lack of multi-player, this is a solid game that has tons of replay value. Would give this 5 stars if I could play with friends and have a game lobby for playing with Randoms. Strategy driven for sure

Excellent adaptation

Pandemic is a great board game and this app does it justice. If you want to get all the achievements, use Scientist/Researcher pairing in a 2 player game. Stay near Atlanta, don’t worry too much about treating, and feed cards to the Scientist. Impossible to lose regardless of difficulty setting.

Super Disappointed

KateCSI3

I love the board game so I was excited to play on my iPad. Unfortunately this game is not truly random. Every second turn there is an epidemic and as soon as you start to do well the AI automatically stacks the game against you making it literally impossible to win. I’ve played a ton of games and have yet to win, yet when I play the board game I do win. This would be so much more fun if it really was random.

Almost perfect...

I love this game. We love playing the board game version, but this is nice to play by myself where I can control all the players and have them do what I want. What I would love to see is a way to continue after curing all the disease. Maybe even an option to remove the epidemic steps (or not!) and reshuffle the player cards to continue to full eradication. That's what we do at home if we've cured all the diseases before the player cards run out. Otherwise, it's been a lot of fun to have this version. Just purchased the expansion packs (that I have not been able to play in real life because they are hard to find and expensive!) so I can't comment on those yet.
