Great interface!

DamiensRush

It does everything I want out of a podcast app. Also the designers attention to detail in things like the settings interface is awesome.

Excellent, occasional crashes

andrew00david

Excellent, though I get occasional crashes on start until I reboot phone

Great podcast app, but...

Jim Clark

The CarPlay functionality is busted. I can’t start playing from CarPlay, I have to open the app on my phone to get it playing. The killer features of this app are the audio dynamics and time compression.

Another heartfelt thank you

Amazing for podcast aficionados. It's so obvious that Marco (the developer) truly understands listeners' needs and wants and has created an app for us, him included.

Balanced and well done

KAJoneslaw

This is an excellent podcast app. Clearly it was designed with the listener in mind. It is a well-balanced mix of functionality and discoverability.

By far the easiest podcast app to understand

Cbgmiami

I’ve tried them all and this is the best App!

Oh dear

4/19/18 it's looking like this crashes when I edit photos. Who doesn't want to spend time listening to pods and editing? Obviously this can't continue. In fact, maybe it’s lost the ability to run in the background with many other apps because it stopped when I began typing here. ___________________________________________________ 4/18/18 Crashing constantly. I've restarted it at least a dozen times today and it's cut my listening ability in about half for the last several days. Adding an episode to a playlist is a slow, slow process; it's frustrating and exhausting. I even downloaded a few pod player apps but have more interest in seeing this fixed than using something else. ___________________________________________________ I've been using this since Apple released iOS 11 and broke the native player (and landscape keyboard and I don't remember what else…). Turns out I love having more flexibility for playback speed and silence shortener. Critics of the increased speed don't understand our brains now register that as normal and "normal" speed as slow. Strict and limited choice of 1.0, 1.25. 1.5, 2.0 don't work because the line isn't smooth and proportional. Overcast is missing important stuff- "listen to next" or Cloud storage. I have about 50 podcasts and some are serial fiction or investigations so I want the season handy even if there's no chance I'll see any Wi-Fi all day. Sometimes simple access to the season is all I need so "up next" list add on or downloading from the Cloud would satisfy. It might be the only way to get me to update to the point of eliminating the landscape display since the trade-off hasn't been worthwhile yet.

Latest Version Ate 10GB of Data

futureyrs

Been using the app for about a year with great results, however I looked in my app usage settings and it had used 9.6 GB of data for my billing period. I only download two episodes every morning over WiFi so something is clearly wrong with the app eating data unnecessarily. It cost me the $10 kickback I usually get from T-Mobile. I disabled cell data for the app going forward.

Crashes constantly...

Tried downloading. Tried updating my phone. I really want it to work for the smart speed, but this is an incredibly unstable build

Would have been great but

mgivens2

The stock podcast app had started to be too cluttered and after an update, would delete my queue so I was looking for something better. Overcast looks great but after saving some shows, the app always crashed about 10 secs after opening the app. Never was able to play anything.
