Syncing, switching from phone to watch, volume control, everything I wanted! Audible should get Overcast to help them with their watch app! UPDATE: Smart Speed has saved me 233 hours and counting. I can’t imagine using any other podcast app!
Best Podcast App Ever

This is BY FAR the best Podcast player I’ve tried, and ever since apple play got too buggy, I’ve tried a lot. It is so smooth, easy to use, functional, and you can adjust/customize just about anything you can think of. Also, it works well with my phone, car, everything, which not all do. It’s freaking great.

Moved to this app largely to be able to create playlists, which has been AWESOME. This app has a bunch of neat little features that make it very intuitive and user-friendly. My main complaint is that the design interface is a little clunky, but I’m willing to overlook that for the functionality!

Great app, can’t say I will be looking elsewhere for a podcast app any time soon. Only positive experiences so far and I’ve been using it for at least two years

2020 couple years in as premium and no regrets love love love this app 2018 I finally switched from iOS recently and love this... I know, you've heard this before. Nothing I can add to so many who have similar experiences: default player ok for a while, something jacks it up, find alternate, realize alternate is light years ahead of what you had and only wish that you had changed long ago. Will update in future, but after hearing recent interview with creator in really excited to see the near future developments.

The inbuilt Podcasts app kept crashing on me and I was getting frustrated. I’ve heard people recommend overcast before so I thought I would try it. It’s been a few months and I wouldn’t go back. SmartSpeed is great. Sorting is easy and efficient. Make your own playlists. Stream or download, choose whether on WiFi or data. Seriously a lot of customizable settings. Even without them, the app runs flawlessly from first opening
Love the Siri integrations

Probably had better Siri integration than any other app that I use! Love it!! So many options, but every thing is very straightforward and well explained/documented.

Recently started using it, switched from default Apple podcast app, and it is amazing. All the features you would want are there, and the premium subscription does not sacrifice any features advertised for free users, it’s just Ads and a few other things. 10/10

I’ve flirted with all of them, and dated quite a few. Podcast players, that is. Overcast is the the best there is. Overcast is like being upgraded to first class while you look back with pity at all the people having to fly coach.
