I love the app and all the books I have access to. However, the app is wonky. It’s hard to navigate a book when you want to jump to other sections. Also, as I write this review, my text is white on a white background. I see nothing but the text cursor moving as I write this.

It doesn't or at least I couldn't find any obvious way to make bookmarks inside the chapters. That's a bit of a fatal flaw. But otherwise great App

As the many other less than stellar reviews would suggest the app on tablet style devices does not live up to expectations. Long UI hangs when it isn’t apparent if the app has crashed or is waiting for some cache refresh (why would it need to when I want to start where I left off hours ago?); reference work reading that supports only mobile style endless scrolling; code segments that require horizontal scrolling - while large bands of unused space remain unused on either side, for content text as well; non-intuitive “how do I get back to where I left off” user experiences; ... the list goes on. If this was a new app these might be excused as growing pains. But as the age of reviews citing the same flaws grows older it becomes apparent that O’Reilly is not prioritizing subscribers’ ability to use their service.

I know this company very well. From running linux to HTML Tim has been able to find who is going to write the best book for the right audience. Now it is led by the best people in the industry

Version 4.21.0 stacks on background at my iPad. It was working smoothly and nicely before that version but now

I have been using this app for years. It’s such a great library. But since the most recent update, it opens with the load screen, hangs there for a few seconds, and then it abruptly shuts off. Completely. Open tasks and you see it is no longer running. Every other app still runs great on my iPhone X Max. Until they fix their critical bug, this app is worthless.

I updated this app today (12/4) and the app won’t start in my iPhone 8+
