Gives a weeks free trial but the signup says a month

Jigi$

Hello Team, I was trying to sign up for 12 months (89$) and it says one month free trial. But when you click on the link for 12 months it only gives a weeks trial irrespective. It’s deceptive and needs to be corrected. And I would like to have a months trial before I really understand what I am getting into.

Great App

Edit: Looks like prior issues were user error on my part. App works and does what it’s supposed to!

Really??!

Why make it free when i can’t access the app without paying?

Don't get pro! Impossible to cancel

Beccoid2

Seriously, you go through all the non-logical steps in Settings to get to the subscriptions page, and there is no option to cancel. I've tried to cancel several times because it makes my phone unusable (see VPN note below), but I keep getting dinged $10/mo. About to start reversing credit card charges. Also don't get the free version, at least not with an older iPhone. The VPN slows your phone down like crazy.

Didn’t block apps at all.

I purchased this app to block usage of social media apps during certain times of day. It did not do that. It also had mistakes in the reports. Not worth the 9.99 I also paid by forgetting to cancel the auto payment sooner. ?

why

n11k0las

it wants me to buy a subscription so badly I just want to block insta so I can do my homework

Would rate 0 if I could

Why make the app free to install by charge me to use it in app??

Great app. Works pretty well!

It has great tactics to help combat addiction however, from a design view point, the “pause for five minutes” button is very close to the “I feel suicidal” and “call 911” buttons. They also all look the same. Have you read “the design of everyday things by don Norman? Everyone on the design team should. Also, I wasn’t really clear what the “I feel triggered”button meant and decided to roll the dice and click it. It’s nice that that button offers suggestions when you’re triggered to use the internet irresponsibility but it just wasn’t clear that’s what was being communicated. The checkins felt like they were giving me a new addiction to do. I’m just skeptical of businesses marketing but maybe it’s a good thing to check into your phone in a different way than what you were doing before to wean you off? Lastly the format where it’s like “artificial Ai” talking to me? Yeah I think it’s kinda silly to have “...” as If the thing is typing or thinking. I’m not talking to smarterchild. I’m trying to see my stats! Lastly part 2, app wouldn’t open when I wanted to pause 5 min even when I closed out all other apps, it wouldn’t open. I’m being highly critical because it’s a great idea and app.

Buggy and poor design

I like this app because it helps limit my social media usage, however, I’ve deleted it twice now due to bugs that make the app unusable. A few weeks ago, I couldn’t access my smart filter settings. Thankfully that is resolved so I downloaded the app again. However, since I re-downloaded the app, I realized my phone was not connecting to WiFi networks. In my General settings, it said I was connected but on the top menu bar, it did not show as connected. As a result, I couldn’t access apps that I restrict data usage for. I wasn’t sure what was going on but then suspected Onward may be the issue. I deleted the app again and lo and behold, I immediately connected to WiFi. I’m not upset because I unknowingly burned through a bunch of data over the last couple of weeks when I thought I was connected to my WiFi at home. Unfortunately this app is too poorly designed and buggy to give it another try.

Stopped notifying, then stopped working.

mmoran33

I like the design of the app, and the concept, but after they billed me for a year’s subscription the app has stopped working occasionally, and I have to restart my phone. It also doesn’t notify to check-in, it just sits there passively, and has for the last week, so as an accountability partner it hasn’t been the most useful. I’m optimistic that the developers will fix these problems.
