Shiittiest experience getting on a mode of transportation ever

They require signing in, and adding a credit card where one could easily use Apple Pay or Sign In with Apple.

Functional app. Like other reviewers, I would love to have Apple Pay. I just missed a connecting ferry at Pier 11 because I had a minute to make the connection. Knowing the arriving slip & the departing slip on the app would be really handy.

I got the update with the bug fixes and now it’s almost unusable. I can get my tickets but schedule is out the window and nothing will load.
Schedules DO NOT WORK

Every weekend I use NYC Ferry iOS app and can never plan out my schedule as the Schedules button does not work. It is currently Thursday 11/08/2018 at 4:43pm. I am trying to look up a ferry schedule to go into Brooklyn and it shows me the next ferry as 6:47AM Friday 11/09/2018. No matter what time of day or when in the week it will show me the schedule for the next day dstarting in the early AM. I am using an iPhone 5 iOS 10.3.3. My girlfriend's iPhone 6S has no problem jusing the same app so I often I have to ask her when the next ferry stop is. Seriously test out your app! I know people with Android phones older then my iPhone 5 and they work properly. Trying to plan a ferry trip for 2 weeks from now on a weekday. It's currently Saturday 11/16/19. Weekday and weekend schedules are different. When I type in the day of the trip and try to plan it, your app just shows me today's date. The ferry schedule is the wrong day and incorrectly set as a weekend. Do you fix your app at all?
App always crashes.

I cannot rely on this app. Sometimes it opens sometimes it doesn’t. Unable to access my transfer because the app won’t open when boarding. Was planning a trip today sitting at home and the app won’t open. Going to have to buy tickets at the machine until they fix it.

I love the ferry and have been using for past year but this app is so unreliable, it crashes and now wont even open. I am so exasperated it means i cannot check schedules and now will just use subway instead. Your app has lost nyc ferry a customer
Constantly Crashing and Map Function Does Not Work

The app is incredibly unreliable as it barely opens. Sadly when it does manage to open, the trip planner function is the SLOWEST and most of the time it does register the address I’m requesting rendering it useless. If you can’t make the app functional, please get in touch with google maps and add the ferries to that service like the subways.

I use this every day. To get to a favorite starting point requires 4 entries and some luck. The first time you bring up a favorite, it will tell you no schedule is found. Only works on the second try. Also, oldest tickets are at the bottom so if you buy several, you have to scroll to get to the one that should be used first.

NYC is better than this app. The interaction elements are small, the interface is laggy, and the user flows aren’t well considered at all. Surely NYC has more talented people than this.
